crusingsquid Posted January 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Hello- Does Cagney's take reservations for a group of 8 or do they only handle smaller groups of 4? In anyone's experience on a 1 night cruise to nowhere or getaway, is it hard to get reservations?
MBprincess Posted January 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2011 We were 11 and got a reservation. They put us in the side room which was nice and private.

faymuiheng Posted January 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2011 We booked that small room they set aside for overflow. We booked the room for 44 people on a one nighter. It was our wedding reception. It was wonderful, they decorated it for us, and even had the waiters come out to sing to the both of us. It was on the Star, and that's the reason we love that ship the most.
sdmike Posted January 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Online you can book a reservation for up to 6 regardless of how many are on your cruise reservation. Beyond that you either need to book 2 at the same time or call them. I recommend a phone call. They're really good about it Don't fill up on the salad bar. It would be easy to do. Best I've ever seen (shared with Moderno)

Thank you for the help SDMIKe- Thanks for the tip.. will do..great help and much apprecited You're welcome. Show and restaurant reservations are a little different. If you have 2 in your cabin you can only reserve 2 show tickets. However, on that same reservation you can book up to 6 restaurant seats. For out group of 11 at Moderno I booked 6 and my brother booked 5. Most of the tables are 4's. Above that your ability to reserve multiple larger groups at the same time gets hairy. That's why it's better to call sometimes.

watchdiva Posted January 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2011 SDMike is referring to shows/restaurants that can be booked in advance ONLY on the Epic. IIRC Blue Man Group is one of the shows that can be pre-booked in advance of the cruise.
faymuiheng Posted January 18, 2011 #11 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Oh, and because we live on the Coast, we like to take advantage of the one "nighters". We always take advantage of the specialty restaurants, and they never seem to be full. The only time we had over 4 people in our party, was during that reception. All other times, we booked for either 4 or less. Seattle to Vancouver, for example, we got for 79bucks/person for a balcony. Can't beat that....:p
