Marriott Day Pass

Recommended Posts

They told me today:

What You Get for Your Money: Conveniently, this resort offers with-room and without-room options. If you'd like daytime use of accommodations, the cost is $65 per person. Without a room, the cost is $35. Either way, pass-holders are entitled to use of the resort's pool, spa and restaurant. Meals, drinks and spa treatments cost extra.

I will be in St Kitts on New Years Day and just wanted a quiet place to relax after partying all night on the ship.

I emailed the Marriott in St Kitts directly and they responded saying there would not offer the day pass option on this date as they were very busy. It also sounds like you can just walk up to the reservation desk and ask for a day pass. Wonder if that would work?

I was just responded to by Angus & was told a 12 to 6:00 pass would be $65.00 pp. I think thats a little steep.

You will not be able to get one because of high occupancy. See the post two above yours.

Since the Marriott will be booked for day passes around Xmas, does anyone recommend alternate day pass facilities?

We went to the Marriott last week and used the $35 per day passes. Free towels were provided. It was too windy to use the beach (stinging sand blowing up.) but chairs were provided around a beautiful pool. We ate lunch at one of the resturants onsite, with a 10% discount. However, service was very slow and the hot food was served cold. I think it was called the Calypso.

Another restaurant served pizza and other items outdoors and another guest recommended it. We should have listened.

I just got this back today. It says $65 pp for the room, not $65 for the room, as this post says. Can anyone break the tie? Thank you

Enjoy your trip to St. Kitts and Nevis.

The St. Kitts Marriott Resort and The Royal Beach Casino offers two options for their day passes:

The first type of day pass the hotel offers will include a guest room. The cost is $65.00 USD (United States Dollars), per room, with a limit in the room of four people. The hotel does require advance notice, at least 24 hours. The reservations must be booked with them directly. Please be aware that this option is based strictly on hotel availability, and can not be guaranteed.

The second option, the day pass is available for $35.00 USD, per person (inclusive of tax and service charge).

The day pass prices are the same regardless of age, or membership status.

The hotel does not require advance purchase of the $35.00 USD day passes. You can purchase them from the front desk upon arrival.

I just got this back today from the Marriott. It says the room option is $65 pp, not $65 for the room, as others have stated. Is there anyone who has actually done the room option?

I just called and was told $125 for a room for the day - up to 2 people and $ 35 pp with no room, just a locker. Not exactly the same but very similar.

Sounds like what they quoted you was a better deal, by five bucks at least. 65 + 65 = 130. Still slightly over priced IMHO, I'd rather keep the 55 bucks and do some other shore activity.

Decided to repost our experience in obtaining day passes/day room from last April at the Marriott.

Here is what I posted on page 3 of this thread.

I thought I had responded to our experience but apparently the posting didn't go through.

We took a taxi to the Marriott. Easy 10-minute drive. It was also easy to get a taxi on the way back. That was the good part.

We arrived on Monday, April 4. Because of the confusion as to whether or not you could purchase a day room, I made sure that I took along my email that stated the room would cost $65 with an additional 19 percent tax.

I stated to the front desk lady that we wanted to get a day room. She said OK, that is $125 plus taxes. I said that wasn't what I was told. She went to get the manager. When returning, she asked to see proof. I pulled the email up on our Ipad. The manager came out and started calling others. We were told we could buy the day passes at $35 a person including my 13-year-old ($105) or we could buy the day room at $125 plus taxes. They refused to honor what I had in writing. This continued for more than 40 minutes. In the end, she agreed to let our son go for free but we paid the $70 for two passes. They were not going to budge on the day room. Said they couldn't override the amount in their system.

Said that they didn't have any email address like this. Couldn't verify where the email came from but this place was putting out wrong information as they havent had the $65 rate for more than two months. I used the email address that was posted earlier on this thread and received two separate replies. The women behind the desk were making it seem like I made the whole thing up.

I did all of my homework and still this happened. In retrospect, I should have just gone to the beach for free. It really griped me when I saw people from the ship jumping in the pool and hanging out but they didn't have the armband.

I have always wanted to stay at the St. Kitts Marriott and really wanted to see the rooms because we had been considing a week's stay. Later, I found out that a couple from our roll call went to the Marriott and asked to see a room because the wife was planning a girlfriend's getaway later in the year. They were accommodated and said the rooms were extremely nice and large.

The facilities were very nice. We enjoyed the pool and the beach was beautiful. This was our fourth time in St. Kitts and wanted to experience just the beach. Would I go back? Yes, but would head straight to the beach.

So are you saying that people were able to use the pool and facility without even paying for the day pass?

There were people definitely from the ship using the pool. Big clue: When they came in the back way and threw their Celebrity towels on the chaises. We were there early on and I know who was there from the get go and who wasn't. We even had people ask us about the armbands as they were Marriott owners.

If I ever am in St. Kitts again, I will just go directly to the beach (it was wonderful) or try the other resort that allows you to join them at no cost. Can't remember the name this second but it has been written about on this board before.
