Yoy posted the link as a both a web link and download request and somehow added a second "http://" to the front of the address. It looks like you bay have pasted the address twice.

All you needed was:

http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/374582_274285109291494_162929080427098_647087_902495579_n.jpg

Which produces an embedded image.

Testing

photo.php?fbid=10151334538435302&l=354e0e839e

From Facebook you copied the address to the page where the image appears, You need to right-click on the picture and choose "Copy Image URL (in Chrome) or right-click, choose "Properties" and copy the address in "Address(URL)" from the pop-up information box (Internet Explorer).

You used the correct button to embed the image, but the address you paste needs to end with .jpg, .bmp, .gif or .png:

This is so frustrating!!!! Trying to get a large pic on here instead of a thumbnail. Set up a flickr account. Went to "manage file extensions". Copied and pasted the url. "Invalid file". Repeated 100 times: same result. What am I doing wrong here?

Thank you!!

So weird that now the full pictures are showing up on the web site. At first it was a link and the pciutre just showed up when it was clicked. I would think readers would rather have just the link. Any input about this? It also seems to be hit or miss. When I preview a post just the link comes up. On this reply page just the links are showing up. But on the threads the whole picture is showing. Hmmm.

No, I personally want to see the picture. Not interested in following links, with the rare exception that I am seeking something very specific.

Tell us how you are trying to post pictures. Do you have a web host such as Shutterfly or Photobucket?

Interesting. I am using Photobucket and I get the pictures on but as I said they are the full picture. I liked the links since it is just a quick click and the picture appears and I don't have to scroll thru a lot of pictures to get thru the thread. I may be the exception. I guess I will keep doing it the way I have been. I see others' pix are also coming out as full pictures.

I also use PB.

But, have you worked with the pix on PB? You can resize them.

When you get them to the size you desire, just mouse pointer on picture, right click, copy, come here, and paste.

You need to use the little "insert Image" icon in the message editor menu:

p815712137.jpg

It will pop up a little dialog for you to paste the link address:

p660347736.jpg

It will automatically put IMG tags around the pic address so it will link properly.

I've discovered that you can just cut and paste pictures from Picasa albums. This picture was taken yesterday. There is a pair of young eagles in a nest on a power "pole" with one of their parents.
