How much is the taxi fare from the Fort Lauderdale airport to the Everglades port?

 

Also is there a Publix, CVS, RiteAid along the way?

The port is about 10 minutes from the airport, so it should cost you no more than $15 by taxi. But, if you need to stop at Publix, CVS or Walgreens, just ask the taxi driver to take you to the closest ones located along on the 17th Street Causeway (10 minutes south of the airport, but still close to the port). The taxi will wait while you shop, but the meter will keep running.

The airport and Port Everglades are right next to each other about a mile or two apart. The usual cab fare is about $12 and there is nothing to buy anything in between.

It would still be taking the long way around the barn to go north on Federal Highway, east on 17th to the northern port entrance then south to the ship rather than taking Eller Drive straight from the airport to the ship.

 

The OP probably doesn't want to blow an extra $20-$25 on cab fare just to pick up a few dollars of toiletries.

That depends entirely on what ship and what terminal it's leaving from. When you board a Princess ship at Terminal 2 (the northermost terminal), they actually recommend using the north entrance (Eisenhower off 17th) instead of Eller Drive.

The fare will also depend upon how far they are backed up at the security check...$15 to $20 is a safe range.
