After Dinner Shot Recipes

Recommended Posts

I'm planning a 40th surprise birthday for my dh. I 'd like to recreate some of those after dinner layered shots they served on adventure of the seas for his birthday party (seeing that i have about 20 shot glasses from the cruise)anyone have any recipes?

One of our waiters gave us a copy of the recipes for a bunch of the shots a few years back. I'm not sure if we still have it, or if I can find it, but I'll take a look for it tonight. Any ones in particular that you are looking for?Only 20 glasses? We have got a box full and have given some away.

Sure hope you find those recipes. I bought a shooter book after our Oasis Cruise and lots of liquors but I cannot remember the layered drink recipes.

I was told by our waiter and didn't write them down. Can't wait for you to find the list!

We also came home with 30 shooters. Blue eyed blonde looks the best. Just google the recipe...you should practice making (any) them because depending on how you layer the alcohol is what they turn out looking like...

suehal, I would love the butterscotch one if anyone comes up with it!

Are you thinking "butterball shots" - If so, I have always made it with Butterscotch Schnapps and Bailey's Irish Cream, but they have been known to be made with Amaretto instead of bailey's --- I prefer Baileys!!!

I've never seen these before on any of my cruises. Are they something you have to ask for ? We have never been offered them before , we will have to try some on your next cruise. They sound good :) .

I think it is called a Buttered Nipple, possibly with buttscotch schnapps and Baileys.

They used to walk around near the end of dinner with a tray of these every night. Each night was a different one in a souvenir glass. We had to ask for them on our last cruise.
