I&MsMom Posted March 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2005 What are you looking for? I've never been, but we'll be there in May. There is a lot of information on this board. I've heard great things from people who have rented jeeps for the day. We've booked with the Jolly Pirates. HTH. Good luck! Have fun with whatever you decide!! I&MsMom Posted March 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Sarah: First: I think I misunderstood a response you posted to an inquiry of mine on the Barbados board. I read it that you owned Glory Tours. I now realize you were just forwarding info. from them. Sorry... As to Jolly Pirates: jollypirates.com Got a reply from Carla in a day. She was super nice. HTH. Enjoy!!
pholter Posted March 3, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Sarah- I suggest renting a jeep and exploring (4 wheeling) through the other side of the island. Lots of cool things to see and do.... Head over to Baby Beach afterwards, do some lunch by the pier and end your day bar hopping at C 'n C's, Cafe Bahia, and Choose My Name Bar..... It'll be a blast! :)

Princess-of-Quite-alot Posted March 12, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2005 Can anyone recommend a reliable company to rent a jeep from?
pholter Posted March 13, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2005 We rented our's from Royal Jeep Rental. They are stationed with other companies just off the ship in the Rental area... I believe their website is www.arubaroyal.com Sunny was the agent when we were there in October.
BlueHerons Posted March 21, 2005 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2005 I think the very best activity is renting a jeep and driving to Baby Beach for a day of snorkeling on Baby Beach. It is probably one of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean.
cmjaffe Posted March 22, 2005 #11 Share Posted March 22, 2005 have you been to baby beach since Ivan? It got hit pretty bad.

endoellen Posted March 27, 2005 #13 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Did you book the 1/2 day with ABC on the net or thru the ship? What did you do and see? Sounds like something we may want to do. Was it with a group of jeeps? We will be in Aruba the full day and evening until midnight. Would like to plan ******** for during day and check out night spots later in the evening. cdncruzer Posted March 30, 2005 #16 Share Posted March 30, 2005 endoellen: We did the 1/2 day with ABC ...Claudio was our most excellent guide! We booked on line. The price was a little better compared to the ship. This was only our 2nd cruise and the first time booking off the ship. I had some concerns about times, whether the tour would be as good as it sounded etc. but it worked out great! There were 3 jeeps in our 1/2 day tour...2 for the full day I think. Check out these threads for info. It should answer some questions... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=3061387#post3061387 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=3335955#post3335955
