INTERNET ACCESS in Tahiti?

On the Paul Gaugin island stops, are there internet cafes at the docks/port stops? I'll cover most of the islands pre-cruise, so I don't need to take all the shore excursions...and generally, how much time are you given before or after each excursion for free time in the ports?

Just want to cover all the technology bases!

Also, has anyone taken a laptop to Tahiti and used it in the hotels? I've heard of a MANA service.

Thanks.

There is plenty of Internet access in Papeete, many cafes. Never saw any on any of the other islands we have visited, some are quite primative. But one thing you might keep in mind, although the prices are better than the ships, the keyboards are french keyboards and keys are not in the same place as we are used to. I was typing away in a little internet cafe in Papeete, looked down and wondered if I had my fingers on the wrong keys. So prepare to touch type, you know, the old two finger typing technique. lol
