Had a great time on the Triumph 3/12-3/19 Eastern Route

Just got back from a great cruise. I will write a lengthy review and answer any question for anyone going on the Triumph. We had a wonderful time. This was a party cruise with lots of Spring Breakers. We are not spring breakers but had fun also. Hit me with questions and I will address them in the review. I will post it tomorrow night. I need time to get in all the detail.

Glad to hear you had a great time on the Triumph. Looking forward to your review. We sail on her in June.

I heard she is going into drydock in October. What kind of shape was she in?

Was your sailing full? If so, did you find it to be crowded?

Thanks for wanting to help us future Triumph folks!

DP21,

Sounds like you're joining a bunch of us on the April 09 Triumph cruise. The preceding thread is a roll call, come join!!

These boards will tell you it's much cheaper, and just as efficient and often better, to book your own excursions before you go rather than through Carnival. I did several google searches for our ports of stops and found just about any tour or excursion (horse back riding, snorkeling, etc.) will let me sign up on my own beforehand.

My group is doing the Godfrey's Tour (again I booked it myself via the Internet/email) and Godfrey comes highly recommended ($20 per person, Godfrey takes you sight-seeing, shopping, and to the beach of your choice. Try to find a Carnival excursion that offers the same for $20. I don't think it exists!)

I might be new to this, but this site has taught me TONS. I almost feel like a veteran. :D Ha!

Thanks CC - I will definitely check those tours out. This is only my second cruise, and I haven't been down there since I was 16 years old..so I was thinking I'd pay a little more for the Carnival excursions figuring that I could rely on them. But I have seen Godfrey come up a lot and recommended. Thanks for your help!:)
