Is there anywhere on line you can find out which Captain is on each ship?

Maybe what Cruise Director or Concierge?

can someone with a PC find my most current chart, highlight the whole thing from Adventure to Voyager, copy and paste it here for me. I won't be home until the 24th and Mom's Macbook won't do it...at least I haven't learned how to do it the Apple way. :)

When it says (started rotation mm/dd/yy) what is the rotation weekly monthy etc... How do you know which captain will be on which sailing

The first Captain listed is the current Captain starting on that date. The second name under the first is the other Captain, currently off the ship. They usually rotate every 10 weeks.

Did anyone notice that the post saying that Captain Bill Wright has retired was written by someone who has only posted once? It would be nice to see if someone can confirm that information.

it was confirmed to me in a private email from a highly respected CC member who has over 10,000 posts. Capt Wright simply needed to master again to maintain his master mariner's license. He now wants to be able to fill in for ANY cruise line who may need someone in a pinch. Hope he doesn't answer the phone call from Carnival. :eek:

Well bummer. Never got to sail with him. I would speculate that after a good bit of time as a senior officer of a profitable company, he has managed to put away a little cash. Now he can go do what he wants to do which is probably spend some time at home....and a little time at sea when he wants as well.

No,it's not posted thru the cruiseline.........besides I guarantee the lists here on CC would be more accurate anyway.:).....so check these lists if that helps you decide..

I find this strange. That Capt Wright would consider to fill in for another cruise line other than RCCL. This is the guy that brought out he biggest RCI ships, Freedom then Oasis. Is it possible that he is also working on the new build projects and since it is still a big secrete no info Captains are being shared?

 

We had him on Oasis and he is a class act. He takes the job and safety very seriously. Hope he comes back soon.

I was just being funny....he's an RCCL man, he is retired but will answer the call if a master has an emergency at home and needs to leave, Capt Bill will be available to fill in until the master either gets back or rotation occurs and the relief captain signs on.

And yet, if you read an article from today's USA Today Travel email, it would seem to be an ideal fit for him to help straighten out Carnival. I'm not trying to be funny.
