hi i am going on the liberty on october 22 and will like to know who will be the captain?

It should be Captain James MacDonald as he leaves for vacation July 25th. The Captains usually do a 10 week on and 10 week off rotation.

Is Capt Henrik rotating between Quantum and Adventure? I thought when he left AD earlier this year he would not be returning. I thought he would just be doing Q. Just curious.

That's the way I was reading the schedule but wasn't sure I was reading it right.

Captains can make arrangements between themselves to vary the schedule somewhat, so it's only a guess this far in advance.

We're departing for Bermuda on the LotS on 03 October. Do Captains usually switch when the ship is underway?

 

the excel program just adds 10 weeks to the start date, so my start date was off by one day. Rotation will occur on Oct 3rd. But FYI, on some longer cruises, sometimes they do (and have) switch mid-cruise.

We were on Grandeur last week and in addition to Capt. Trond, there was another Captain on board. Here I am on the Bridge with Capt. Fritz.

I had lunch onboard BR the other day and Stig Nilsen was still at the helm.

He will abandon ship on Tuesday (July 7) in CPH for vacation.

Captain Rick Sullivan is listed as Captain of Explorer of the Seas with no date behind his name. He was the best captain ever but he was on Explorer in November 2014 when we did the repo cruise. Does not having a date behind his name mean that he stays of that ship?

When a Captain is listed with no date next to his name that means he is on vacation and the Captain's whose name appears above his is the current Master.

 

Capt Kjetil Gjerstad started his rotation on the Explorer as of 5-15-15 and it should end around July 23 at which time Captain Sullivan will return.

 

Captains are on a 10 week on 10 week off rotation unless the 2 Captains assigned to a ship work out a different rotation schedule.
