We have done a Disney cruise and upon entering boat looked around at kids area registered them to get our pager etc. So I keep reading about an orientation... what is that; when? My kids are 4 and 7. Do we get a pager as well? Thanks

They have an orientation meeting the first evening of the cruise; if you fill out all of your paperwork beforehand, it's really simple (and not that difficult if you don't. Only 5 and under get a pager/cell phone.

So do the kids clubs open up that first night or not until the next morning?

Officially the next morning, but some of the ships have some things to do after 10pm (charges apply) on the first night and before that some things kids and parents can do together.
