Hey Guys!

Here's our new thread. The old one will be completely shut down soon, so if there's anything you need to get from there, you need to do it soon.

So everybody check in when you can. I'm on my way to volunteer at a special needs camp for their lunchtime.

Back later......Hope to see that you all have found us!

Yeah....me, too.....but you gotta do what you gotta do. Every time I would pull that thread up or refresh it.....it took forever to load. I'm sure it was doing its share of clogging things up.

OK....where are the rest of you? I thought everyone would have checked in by now!

I need to go ahead and request my certificate from Bank of America for our free cruise. We have way more than enough points for one. I'm afraid the points are going to expire. Now I just have to find a time when we can go on another cruise.

HEY, I'm here: WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME, everybody!!!!!

Not difference for now, I think...... Everything's OK with us: Bill's doing fine! The pic on FB is not really telling the true story; he cant take the bandage off, until we will see the doc, next week....... cant get it wet, so back to sponge baths......but other then that, he's fine, I think: just told me today, that he got it up to here!!!!!! hahahaha and I know what he means. I'm doing OK too: surgery next week, and hopefully I'll be seeing the light, too! Has been soooooooo long for solid food, that I got it up to here, too!!!!!!!! Other then that, everything's fine: very hot and humid; thousand of mosquitos and they ALL waiting for me to get out of THAT door......

Jane, when can you cruise again? Maybe we can get the same date...... who knows.....

Hey REV, where are you??????

Hi to everybody, and please keep our new home busy.....

Talk to you later. Hey Barry, I'm going to ask to be your friend in FB, OK?

Have a good one,

Franca:D

Slowly but surely the family is finding their way home! Just waiting for the rest of you.

I'll bet Rev is watching Big Brother!!

About the only time I can cruise is over Christmas....and then there is Spring Break. We got a good deal on a cruise this past spring. We'll see. We'll definitely be watching xome of the Christmas/New Year's weeks for price cuts.....possibly a last minute thing. Who knows?

I'm here!!!! Nothing new going on!!!!! Just going to go and check what my TA sent me (the C&A flier) for next week sales, and is one there for the Oasis, that looks real good...... 8/13 eastern Carib......

No that we are going, but its nice to dream: Bill wanted t know when we were going on a cruise, he knows, just teasing me about it...... so I'm going to check the prices out......

Hope that some more people find our home!!!!!!!

Have a good weekend, everybody.... see you soon, I hope:D

Where are you all?

It is lonely here without you.

Freeways closed and most folks out here are staying close to home.

I am working because we are going to Santa Fe next week. While we will see the kids daily, we are bringing another couple with us and are staying in a hotel, like tourists.

Let us know how everyone is holding up!

Good Morning!

Lazy day yesterday with sports overload....The Women's World Cup match and the British Open. Whew! I was worn out.

Chatting on a Celebrity roll call is so not the same as on the RC roll calls!

When is Rev supposed to be back?

Nothing on the schedule today except doing some ironing.

Looks like it's just you and me, Franca/ I sent everyone the link.

Guess what? The phone rang yesterday morning and it was the dentist. The impression that they took last week was not good. I was bleeding too much.....so they have to take another one.....can I come right then? Ughh!! So I go and it was much more involved than I thought. Several shots, a lot of work on the gums, etc.....then the new impression. I hope that's over with now!

Going to do some retail therapy today. I don't have any money, so it will be a short trip!

John's eye surgery is tomorrow.

OH WOW...... I dont like dentists at all: look at what I'm going through because of a bad dentist, years ago!!!!!! My surgery is tomorrow, and I dont really care to go, because I dont know what the future will hold: they feel that is going to be a breeze.....:( Well, let see: I just want to be able to eat "normal" food again......:p Best wish for your issue and the best to John; keep us, er me, informed!

Rev's fine, she is very busy with Pat house, and she will need few more days; Have fun shopping, or just looking: I'm doing lot of that lately; the cruises fund its going down, down, down and I need to replenish it; after the March one, it will be a while for the next one; but before that we got 5 already booked, so that is nice.......:)

Have a good night, and I'll see you as soon as I'll feel a little better,

Hi All!

We are home from the hospital and all is fine for now. We go to the doctor's office tomorrow to see how it went. Just staying inside from now until the week-end because of the extreme heat. It is something.

Franca.....hope all has gone well at the dentist. I can really empathize with you on that one. Let us know.

Finally on line.

Good morning my friends,

It has been a roller coaster ride around here.

Got back on the 14th (and you're right Jane I did watch Big Brother)

Pat is nipping at the bit, she wants to get into her house so bad.

Thursday we went furniture shopping. That was a blast. We furnished the whole house in less than a day. Most of the furniture arrived yesterday, the rest comes Saturday.

Friday we went to buy TV's and a mattress for Pat's new bed, unfortunately between the parking lot and the bedding department I lost my wallet. It had all my Credit cards, my driver's licence AND my medicare card, which has my SS number on it. Who ever found it is NOT an honest person because it has not been returned and it will be a week tomorrow. We checked security at the mall, the store lost and found, etc. then rushed home to cancel all my CC cards and notify medicare. Our driver's licences have the exact birth date on them, so I am really screwed!

But no time for being screwed right now, I had a Sears card at home and another credit card, so we went back to the store and got the TV's and mattress.

Saturday we decided to get a few more items so we ventured out.

Sunday I can't remember it was a blur

Monday doctor's and the work people are finishing up at Pat's house and replacing my old doors in my house.

Tuesday and Wednesday some furniture arrived, and the workman were at both Pat and my house, some of my furniture is being up dated. It is great golden oak solid wood furniture, and I would rather up date it then trade it in for the new 'stuff" they now sell.

Today the moving van is coming with all of Pat's stuff from her trailer, most of which we are getting rid of, but she insisted in hanging on to it, she would not listen to me. So now all the old furniture she has is going (most of it was really not worth keeping). The maid and Pat's daughter are over at the house putting all her clothes and nickknacks away. I got her black and white Fiesta Ware for dishes, it really looks great.

I will try to take some pictures and show you the before and after.

The pool will not be ready until at least Monday as the PH was way too high and needs adjusting, she will have pool service.

OK, that's what is happening here.

Jane, glad John is home from surgery

Franca, hang in there, this too shall pass. And get to the dentist and get this stuff going so you have plenty of time to heal for our trip.

Andrea, I was thinking about you re: Carmageddon (spelling?). How are you making out?

The rest of you, please stay well. I hope you stop by and say hello every once in a while.

Have a great day.

I'm going on a girl trip next week!! Yay!!!!

Franca....how's the mouth this evening? Hope you can eat.

Andrea.....Is it as hot in LA as it is here? I just went out to water plants and it was unbearable!

Other then that, glad that everything's going fine...:p

Best wishes for John......

My mouth feels funny: maybe its because my gums are sore; give couple more day: I did eat a toast this morning....... I think that IS GOOD; can brush my teeth, or my gums will bleed: I was told to eat soft and nothing crispy or sticky: I'll get there. Just want to be in OK shape for our cruises: need to eat those chicken wings.......Right REV?????

Bill's doing OK, he has another trip to the MOHS doc, and maybe, we will be done with him........ has been a long road!!!!!!

Wish all the best to everyone, and come and say hi, once in a while.....

Hello from Santa Fe, NM! We are here with another couple. We are playing tourist and staying at a hotel on the plaza. Today, DS Bobby picked us up from the airport in Albuquerque and drove us here. We wondered around town and went to several galleries. We saw the most beautiful sunset from the bar at the top of the hotel. Janet (my friend) got some beautiful pictures which I hope I will get to post. We had dinner in the hotel tonight. I am exhausted. Flo is working and has her first trial coming up. I told her it was okay if she didn t join us tonight. We are going there for hors d'ouvers tomorrow before dinner and meeting another couple who are old friends tomorrow. We are going white water rafting on the Rio Grande on Saturday. We will see the kids much this weekend.

I will try and post as we go. It is a bit weird on the iPad.

It is warm here because the elevation is high, 7200 feet up. It is in the 90's in LA.

Hoping surgeries are going well for everyone. Rev, hopefully you have a credit monitoring service which will let you know if anyone is opening up credit in your name. If not, you need to get one.

I apologize that I can't recheck spelling etc but I need to go charge my iPad.

Andrea, I don't have a credit monitoring service. Any suggestions on which one or how to get one. For a rather intelligent person, I am hopeless when it comes to paperwork and things like that. Something comes over me, and I keep on thinking the wallet will return and why go through all that. It may be a through back from my PTSD. Or it ties in with the fact that it took me forever to do on-line banking and I used to hate doing my bills by mail all the time. Have a wonderful trip, it sounds fantastic.

Jane, I'm glad the doctor said John's operation went well, now in a few days his vision will be great and you both will be so happy and ready to cruise again. Are you going to check into the Oasis in late August? Franca said the fares were quite good.

Franca, I guess it's a catch 22 with your teeth. When you don't brush your teeth for a while the gums will bleed when you do brush them, but if you brush every day twice a day (at least), the bleeding will stop in a day or two. But you must start brushing your teeth in order for the bleeding to stop. What does your dentist say?

Everyone else,

It would be nice to hear from you all...do I sound like a broken record. The longer you stay away, the harder it is to come back. Please don't forget about us.

Nice to see some posts in here!

Another Friday......these weeks are just flying by......it's scary.

Andrea......sounds like you guys are having fun! A nice continuance of your birthday celebration! I plan to celebrate a loooong time for this next one!

Rev......Late August.....I'll be trying to figure out my school schedule for the year. Getting lesson plans together. Going to pointless meetings. And welcoming the little darlings back to school......if I have any left to teach. Some have moved out of district.....or back to Mexico. I have done such a good job....that 28 of them exited from the ESL program last year! I'll be dealing with this new principal (new to us last year) who went on a witch hunt this past year....needed to be done.....we had a lot of dead weight. He has moved a bunch of people around to different grade levels where they will be more suited (IMO), some others quit, retired, or changed schools. I'd say he was very effective. SOoooooooo.....no cruisin' for me at that time!

Franca..... I read on FB about the water running down your back at the dentist. I had to laugh! That happened to me, too. It's so cold in my dentist's office that I have to wrap up in a blanket when I'm there. The reason they use so much water is to keep it cool in your mouth to keep from having to do a root canal in addition to the other work!!

Gotta run clean up for the maids!!! Then the exterminator comes today for the annual do-dah!

Later!!!

Barry......How's Florida so far?

Cheryl.....do you ever stop working? That's not good for you. I know you're alive....I see you posting on FB once in a while! Great picture of ....was that Eric or Alex and his girlfriend?

I joined Lifelock. Tomorrow I will be able to see my credit report and see if anyone has applied for credit in the past week. Thanks guys. I really had no idea what to do.

If you remember, John's identity was stolen a few years back and I fortunately found out who it was and was able to stop everything. (it was my former maid's boyfriend). I went to the police but they said they could not do anything and while I was there my cell phone was picked from my pocket...nice.

It was a lot of work to track that kid down and I really did not know what to do so thanks for all the advice. I feel a lot better now.

Glad to see "almost" everybody in here. We are missing three people:Karen (how things with you?) Barry: he may be busy unpacking and getting used to Florida and Cheryl: we know that she is very busy with the shop!!!!!

Andrea, have some fun: a belated birthday vacation......

REV, glad that you feel better about you signing up to Lifelock (????)

Jane, hopefully that John will be able to see real soon, and all his problems will be going away; and hopefully that your dental issues will be taken care of.

Bill's doing much better, and this coming tuesday we will know how long he has to be a "free" man (at least for a while) (free from going to see the MOHS doc) That its funny: now, the people in the office, call him Captain Morgan.....

My bleeding is because I did have implants surgery, and the gums are very sore and tender and they bleed if I do brush: I'm doing it, thou, even if hurts a lot.......and my all mouth hurts!!!!! I'm trying to chew a little more, but, like tonigh, I had some with tomatoes, and my gums started to burn, I think, because of the acid in the tomatoes; This it should pass, and same day we will be able to laugh at it!!!!!! I want to be sooner then later......

Have a very good weekend, everybody and I'll see you soon. We will be going to bed shortly and we will be watching Dateline......

Check out the Navigator and the Enchantment, they may have something to offer. Also the Serenade.

Which airline do you take down there to San Juan, American or Jet Blue?

American is charging almost four hundred a person, one way and Jet Blue prices aren't out yet.

My April cruise seems so far away, April 7th and the 14th.

Jane I gained a little weight on the vacation. I was not as good as I thought I would be. I came home weighing 226.5, and when I left I weighted 216, so ten and a half pounds. Now I have been back on the program since last Monday and I now weigh 222. So I'm getting there. But I have to figure some way to do a little better. I was hoping to be at 200 by the time I get on Oasis, but now it look like I'll be in the low 200's as there are only seven weeks until my next cruises. Easy does it, and slow, but I better not go away for so long again. At the end I was back to my old ways. I only stayed good for about a week and a half, then forget about it. But I am going to do it, I just know it.

Hey if you took the Serenade we could meet for a few minutes on the 7th when you get home and I am departing. That would be neat.

Later all,

Rev

Yeah.....I was looking at the Navigator for that week......8 night. Looks good. We have a free cruise from our RCI credit card, but that's for a 7 night cruise. I don't think you can use it for an 8 night. If you book an RCI cruise when you are on a Celebrity cruise.....do you get the on board credit?

Hang in there Rev. Drink lots of water and up your fiber. Put lots of beans on your salads. You can do it! I'm still up 5 pounds since my last cruise and I've been doing everything right. I was so discouraged this morning when I weighed in. But it will come off.

John is doing pretty well, but he can't see anything out of the right eye. Only light. The Dr. said it sould be 6 months before he gets sight back. Oh well.

Hope everyone is well.

Check y'all later.

Oh....and we fly Delta exclusively. John is a million miler on Delta, so we are pretty well vested there just like with Royal Caribbean.

REV, dont worry about it: you will be fine!!!! I'll make sure of it...... hehehehe

Now, now....... cant see any difference in my mouth, with the new hardware........ cant saying anything, because, you know who, will get upset; lots of money; but I'm thinking that, maybe, my gum still little sore; still have stiches in there, somewhere, and plus, the other night I put something in my mouth that was toooooooo HOT, and I burned my tongue! You know what I mean......

REV, I know you are very busy, but if you did not due it, please, send an e-mail to Ricardo: I think he needs some TLC..... keeps asking about you!

Thank you; is everybody been real hot????? We are very hot: today the temp went up 97, but we are use to it; I'm worrying about the rest of the country, and lots of people dont have A/C!!!!!

Hopefully will start to cool off a little!

I'm going to send an e-mail to the Captain's wife, from Norway, and make sure that they are OK! They are home now; what a shame: lots of bad memories..... Well, this is the time that we live in now, and we can hope that something like 9/11 or Norway and other places, wont happen again.....

Have a good sunday, and take care

Franca,

Consider it done. I sent an e-mail of to Ricardo this morning.

I'm glad to hear your teeth are in, now you won't be able to put those dentures in that were irritating your gums and slowing down the healing process. But we girls need to look good, and I understand.

Pat spent the night in her house last night. I am so happy for her. I will call her later and see how she did.

No news right now. Just that it will be another scorcher. I am really glad I don't live up north, they are really getting it bad. It hasn't broken 100 here yet. Our highest was 96 which was reached yesterday.

Jane, Navigator is great...but why not Serenade?

Have a great one.

Oh.....I would sail on Serenade in a heartbeat every time, but the cost to fly to San Juan is ridiculous. I think I like the itinerary of the Navigator better at that time.....but again.......I don't think they will take the free certificate for an 8 night. We'll see. At least there are some choices that time of year. In the summer.....there is nothing any more. They've even dropped my favorite port of Barbados!

Holly gets a bath today and then I am off to the mountains tomorrow on my girl trip. Looking forward to it.

Check y'all later.

Hey girls, here we are, doing nothing...... watching some baseball (the boss likes it)

My mouth its a little better, but the tomatoes sauce is killing me: my gums are so tender, that the sauce makes them burn...... so I'll call tomorrow and make sure that nothing's wrong with them....... this are just the temporaries; dont know when I'll get the permanent one: the docs want to make sure that everything its 100% OK; I was told that its all up how fast my gums will heal, and knowing me, it will take a while.... Oh well, I'll get there, some day...... If I knew then, what I know now, I'll NEVER had the darn thing done!!!!!! To much time, pain and money.......

The weather up north start to break done: today in Boston was 73; few days ago was 103: big difference!!!!!

I did sent an e-mail to the Captain's wife, the one that we know, because they are home, right now, and they live in Norway: she did answer back that they are fine and far from Oslo, but real sadned by this tragedy...... We know what that feels, for sure. Our prayers to them and their country.....

Glad that Pat is moved in, or almost moved in.

Happy that you wrote to Ricardo, REV!; he feels alone, on that big ship!!!! Cant wait for us to go: I second that!!!!!!

Have a good night, and I'll talk to you soon.

Hope that everybody's doing fine and everybody is healthy and stay that way!!!!!

I just made a roll call for our Oasis cruise. It took a long time, but it had to be done. I've never been on a cruise without a roll call before.

I still haven't replied on all the roll call threads...too many cruises, it gets me crazy. Right now I have ten lined up and I need two more before the 2012 Allure September trip. I want to be pinnacle before I go on Allure in September. Just something I want to shot for.

I now get three gifts instead of two. I don't know what else after you reach 76 cruises, but that's where I'm at now, so I get a lot of stuff. I know the gifts are up graded. One is even a dozen red roses, which I have put on my permanent list.

I also have not booked anything as far as restaurants on Oasis, I figure Ricardo will do it, because I don't really know what I want yet. I think I will try for 150 Central on the first night. I know we have the comedy show. But I'm thinking I might blow that off. It was funny, but not that funny to interfere with my dinning experience. I love 150 because they don't give you a lot of anything, it's great.

Well enough of that for now. Gotta go to bed, I'm getting tired.

Doctor tomorrow.

Here I am feeling guilty, because I have not posted, and when I get to our site:eek: My post is the last post:eek::eek:

Now that's wrong.

Franca thanks for finally joining the roll call on our Oasis trip. Pat is so excited. about the trip. She has got me going to Nachi Cocum beach in Mexico, and the Hilton in Jamaica. Also Labadee is a beach day, I'm going to be beached out. Well no answer form Willie or from Ricardo yet. Oh well, I'm sure they are busy.

Jane, booked my flights to San Juan, now all that's left is my hotel in San Juan. I heard there was an Embassy suites right near the port, can you tell me anything about that. I also need to by a cooler while I am there and some diet soda, and plum lite juice. Are there grocery stores in Old San Juan, or do I have to go out of town. I imagine that San Juan is very much like the US when it comes to products and stores. I remember going to a big mall a number of years back, and I would have thought I was in the US.

Hi everybody: REV I got an e-mail from both Ricardo and Willie! Ricardo told me that is very happy, because he got your very nice e-mail: Natalia is on vacation, so he's working with Allan and they try their best!!!!!! Willie just told me that he got an e-mail from you: I think he answered mine after couple of weeks!!!!! Yeah, finally I decided to join the roll call: I'll go there and say hi, after this one!!!!

Tuesday we went to the MOHS doc, and he took a big chunck out of Bill's calf, but he told us that he did not get everything, so we going back on Monday to finish the job.......Bill's fine: he cant wait for the cruises!!!!! Every day I tell him how many days are left, and he smiles...... Feel real bad for him, and I hope, that after this one, we can take some time off, because he wants to go up to Mass; I want to go too! hopefully we will know soon.......

REV, how many more days you need to be a Pinnacle???? WOW, I wish I could be that close: I'll love to be Pinnacle, but we have tooooooooo many days to go, and I dont think it will never happen; but, we will be cruising!!!!!! hehehehe:D not matter if we are close or not!!!!:p

Franca,

Seems to me that we don't have that many days to go. I just sent away and traded in some of my credit card credits, so I will have seven fifty for the trip. Not bad for a days work. I did the same last year when you surprised me on the cruise. I plan on going to a lot of the special restaurants.

So far we are going to get off the ship at St. Martin, and take a tax either into Margot or to Grand Case and eat at one of the nice restaurants there. Then we will go into Margot if we chose Grand Case and go around for a while, they have a new mall (air conditioned) there and it is really nice. That's all we are doing on leg one. On Western we are off at Labadee for a cabana, you guys are invited of course, then we decided to just buy coffee in Jamacia, and go to Nachi Cocom on Thursday when we are in Coz.

I can't believe we are doing a repeat of last years trip, maybe this time I will get to see some shows. We shall see.

Give Bill my love,

Rev

Hi Rev, just lost my long post!!!!! We cant wait to see you guys...... dont know what we will do for diner, but he doesnt want to go at the DR; so, maybe, after the chicken wings in the concierge, we will go up for some soup or maybe the seafood shack; we liked that a lot;

He wont leave the ship, due to the sun, so he'll stay on the ship, but that is where he wants to be, anyhow......

We will see you soon...... Love back,

Franca

Hey, "other" guys, hope that everything's fine with all of you. Check in some time, OK?

Hey.....I'm checking in. Back from the mountains. What fun. Lots of relaxing, shopping, playing bridge.....just what I needed. Back to reality now.....more Dr. and Dentist appointments......and then school is looming. I hope it won't be too stressful so I can hang in there.

Poor Bill......tell him to hang in there, Franca......better days are coming!

Got to go clean up for the maids! Check y'all later.
