Which is the laundrette located on deck 9, Liberty of the Seas?

In the same location it is on every other ship in the RCI fleet - nowhere.:D RCI ships do not have, and have never had, self-serve laundries.:)

If you mean where is it located on Deck 9 the answer is no where on Deck 9. The ships laundry is located in a part of the ship passengers do not have access.

Thank God! Who wants to do laundry on vacation? Hey, I go on a cruise so that I can skip on laundry, bed making and dish washing! :)

I have done laundry on many cruises. It is no big deal to wash two loads during the week.

Its not like you are that busy the entire week.

I would rather spend $5 on laundry than $50 on baggage fees.

I have the same question - the last thing I want to do on holidays is my own laundry but yet lots of people on cc seem to want this facility.

Maybe its because they have kids with them.

Can I send clothes out to be cleaned and ironed? If so, how expensive is it?

I found this service very reasonable - and they do special offers during the week for small items in a bag. Search the threads and you will find the costs. I think I still have them on my pc so I will have a look later and post them for you.

About mid-week they have a small item laundry special. All you can fit into a bag for $25.

I find this price reasonable and well-worth it. After spending $XXXX on my cruise, the extra $25 bucks is ok for me, and it helps cut down on my packing. We only pack washables for half as many days, and send the laundry every cruise.

Have fun cruising!

Or maybe they are on a long TA cruise and do not want to pack as much...:D

In general, I find pricing on most things onboard to be reasonable. That includes laundry, spa services, drinks, wine markup, dining options, etc. Maybe higher than I want it to be, but in line with what I pay elsewhere.

I have yet to find anything sold on RC to be considered "reasonable"...

Well -- when I can get dry cleaning on board cheaper than I can get at my local cleaners, I'd say that is reasonable.

To those who have asked for it, here is a link to the price list:

Prior to discovering the wonderful world of cruising, we would rent a couple of condos on the beach. They always had laundry facilities either in the condo or somewhere in the building. I was absolutely panic stricken that I wouldn't be able to do laundry when we embarked on our first cruise. Now it is one of the best things about going on a cruise. I can drop $25 in less than 5 minutes in the casino, so I think it's reasonable to send a bag to the laundry during the week if we look like we might run out or if some favorite items are dirty and we want them cleaned. It's a proud vacation day for me when I can lay down at night and know that I haven't had to wash clothes or dishes, cook or clean up the kitchen, clean a bathroom or make bed :D.

Many of us would disagree with you but if you start with the premise that everything that RCI does or charges is unreasonable I am sure you can find things to back up your position. Check out a recent thread which compared drink prices at land based restaurants and resorts with the prices charged onboard the ship. Compare drycleaning prices at home with the charges on RCI, and compare the value of a Broadway style show such as Hairspray or Chicago, with what you would pay for a similar show at a theater in a US city, let alone on Broadway.

So why do you keep sailing on RC? Or for that matter come over on these boards? Every post you add here is just a slam to the line.

Many of us here value our relaxation time and have no desire to do laundry on board. If you have a different opinion great but no need to try to beat it into the rest of us who disagree .
