"Faux" designer purses & sunglasses?

Cozumel has the designer bags. I have a Dooney Bourke purse. I paid $25.00 for it in 2000. When I got back home I took it to "Foley's" and asked them if they knew anything about this model. The sales lady told me that this model was discontinued in 1998 and at that time they were selling them for $198.00. She said that it wasn't a faux. Good luck

Does anyone who has recently been to the Western caribbean know if these items are available (and where) in Cozumel, Roatan, Belize or Cancun?

Thanks.

Just got back from the Western Caribbean cruise and found a lot of these items in the tourist area (near the pier) in Belize. Lots of Louis Vuitton items and Oakley sunglasses, cheap...not sure if any were real--doubt they are, but they look real.

Of course they "look" real ... how else would they be able to sell them? ;)

But they are not real.

Real Louis Vuitton purses, etc. are not going to be sold for a few $$$ anywhere.

If you are looking for *faux* Kate Spade purses, be aware that the labels tend to be glued on, not stitched.
