Lago Mar FLL

Recommended Posts

We have one post cruise night in FLL. Since we've never cruised out of this area, it would be nice to see the city or surrounding area. Would Lago Mar be a good choice? We are trying to decide between either Lago Mar, Doubletree Oceanfront, Marriott Marina or Hyatt Recency Pier 66.

We'd like to stay on the water and see the cruise ships, etc.

Doubletree Oceanfront is no longer a Doubletree (seems to just be independant now), and wouldn't be a place I'd consider... Hyatt Pier 66 will be undergoing major renovations beginning sometime this spring/summer. I don't remember exactly when or for how long though.

Lago Mar is an older property but very nice, not in the same league as the others you listed and would be the only one of those I would stay in myself... http://www.lagomar.com/

You might also consider the Harbor Beach Marriott, also very nice, and a few doors down from Lago Mar, both of which are oceanfront and on the nicest part of Ft. Lauderdale Beach... http://www.marriottharborbeach.com/

The Renaissance on SE 17th Street is also a very nice newer hotel, and you can see the ships and water from some of the rooms... http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/FLLBR
