;) Really enjoyed the cruise. We booked this cruise to see the Panama Canal and left on a Saturday (3/19) and returned on a Sunday (used less vacation days). This was my wife's and my 8th cruise, 7th on Carnival. This was the 3rd Spirit-class ship that we have taken. Spirit-class is my personal favorite. Booked a Cat 5 Guarantee and got a 6A cabin (1112). Good location except under Satchomo's (noise until band quits around 1am, good excuse to stay up and party longer). We ate twice in the Golden Fleece Supper Club and enjoyed it both times. Well worth money. Ate the other dinners in the Truffles. Enjoyed food except desserts on 3rd night - all were nasty. Prime rib last night was very good. Ate breakfasts and lunch on Lido - good selection and enjoyed the omlettes and deli. Entertainment was enjoyable but weaker than previous cruises. The big shows worked well but the other acts were hit and miss. Spent many hours at blackjack tables and came home a slightly ahead. It is amazing what good rules the ship has for blackjack (NOT FUN 21 and I don't recmmend the Face Up table) and craps yet the video poker has the worst payouts I have ever seen.

In Belize, we went cave tubing with a local outfit - lots of fun. In Costa Rica, we toured the countryside with a local tour outfit set up just off the pier. Went fine - though hot and muggy (Buses were very cool and comfortable). In Panama, we did Carnival's partial transit through the Canal on a ferry - highlight of trip but a very loooong and hooot day. Loved having 2 days back - very relaxing. I would say we had incredibly calm seas for the whole trip and very good weather. Took advantage of the spa several times, even did couples massage - pricy but we were worth it. The massage therapists are very good and just say no to the hustle for spa products at the end. Legend is in excellent condition and staff very friendly, especially dining, casino and spa.
