Carnival 1A (with a window) . . . anyone ever stayed in one of these cabins?

I hope someone can help me. We are booking a cruise on the Carnival Conquest and was wondering, is an aft balcony better or bigger than a regular balcony.

an aft balcony-- the ones across the back o the ship-- are bigger then the side ones for the same amount of money. Deck 7 (empress) is between decks of cabins and away from public areas. The cabins are basically the same. Some dont have sofas
