Anyone do the shore excursion Xcaret in Cancun? It looks awsome and we booked it but it is soooo expensive. I looked to do it independently but couldn't get a garuntee about returning to the port on time :(

Thanks Kristi

Early today I booked this excursion as well. Thought it was overly priced. I think it will be well worth it. Want to snorkel the caves and see the lagoon.

Wondering about the sunscreen. They only want you to use biodegradable. I had skin cancer 3x's and need to be extra careful.

They sell a special sunscreen at Xcaret for use at the park. They won't let you use any other kind, and they're very strict about it. However, it seems to work pretty well. My skin is very fair and prone to burning, but I was fine.

It's a spectacular place, really worth the money.

Dear Customers:

As you know Emily's Hurricane damage some parts of Quintana Roo State.

In order to provide a better service, the park will remain closed until the completion of the cleaning workings caused by the passage of the Emily hurricane, reason why, the date of visit must be subsequent to August 1, 2005.

Thanks for your comprehension.

I second that! It is spectacular. They give you free samples of their sunscreen at the gate! Plenty to use in one day.
