Archie4 Posted November 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Less than 2 weeks until our Explorer cruise now Whoop!!:D How do you know whereabouts in the MDR your table is? Me and my good lady have had our booking linked to my Bro & Sis in laws booking and we are hoping to be seated together at the 18.00 seating for dinner. Do you know in advance or do we just all charge in together and raise an Ulster flag at a table for 4 lol?!!!:D

You can do two things. Get on the ship, go to the MDR, and check with staff about your table and location prior to dinner. Or, just go to dinner, and tell the staff what table you have, and someone will escort you to the table.
MonaCK Posted November 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Did you book through a travel agent or directly with RCCL? Either way - you should verify with the agent that your booking is linked with your bro and sis in law's. When you get your seapass, your table number will be printed on the front of the card. If you are not seated at the same table as them, you can go to the maitre de when you get on board ship to have that straightened out. Have a great cruise! :)

Your table number for mdr seating will be printed on your seapass card when you check in. We always go to the dining room when we board and find our table to make sure it is the size we requested. There will be a desk set up on one floor of the mdr to request changes if a mistake was made or if you would like your table changed. Enjoy your cruise! sgermic Posted November 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2011 If you opted for the traditional dining (set times), someone correct me if I'm wrong, but your table number will be printed on your Card. Every table in the main dining room will have a number posted on it, and on the first evening, you show your card to the hosts in the front of the dining room, and they'll lead you to your table. donaldsc Posted November 6, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2011 You ask the matre'd when you arrive at the dining room. DON

reallyitsmema Posted November 6, 2011 #8 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Archie, the table number will be printed on your seapass card but after reading many of your posts, I really doubt your bro and sis in law will have any trouble finding you!;):p Have a great cruise and make sure you come back and tell us all about it.:)
Archie4 Posted November 6, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Reallyitsmema, you may be able to find me but you will find (hear) my bro in law first lol! I just had visions of me and my m8 shouting across the MDR when we had found a table for 4!!! Thought it had to be more organised than that......if possibly not as much fun lol!!! Still have vision of us holding bar staff hostage until they find us a matching pair of beer coolers lol!!!!! Thanks everyone for the info and indeed sgermic for confirmation of the info making it even more reliable!!!
mitejoma Posted November 17, 2011 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2011 I too had a newbie question about dining and when reading this I found some information that I'm hoping is wrong. Ok, here is the senario. Cruising with a large group. 10 of us. 4 of the people don't want any part of formal night. 6 of us do. Will we still have to sit together because I don't want to since they are going to look stupid on formal night in regular clothes.

Do not be concerned with other people "looking stupid". If they do the MDR, they will sit with you. If they want no parts of it, they can go to the buffet.
