Hi Lois, Yes it is a bit expensive - $7400 (flights included). It is a 14 day cruise. This will be my first solo cruise and I chose Silversea because they seem to be very accommodating to their solo cruisers. I want to have a good "first time" experience.

I was just curious. I sail with Celebrity as a solo 2 to 3 times a year

and I always feel totally welcomed:):D It is like coming home again

everytime I step on one of their ships.:)

Hope you have a great cruise and for the price you are paying they

better be accomodating;):)

On first glance the cost does seem (and definitely is) very expensive; however, if you think about what's included in the price (airfare, gratuities, ALL beverages, a butler -- not that I would have the faintest idea of what to ask of a butler) and probably other things I'm not aware of (not sure if they charge for their specialty restaurants), plus the cost of the single supplement, it's really a not bad deal! Of course if one doesn't drink at all, then it's less attractive.

I really hope that you'll give us a detailed report when you return, kmd!

Elyce,

I agree, a lot is included in the price which makes it more attractive. And, I definitely do drink :) I certainly will give a report when I get back.
