Can Meet and Mingle times be changed?

I have just recently discovered that the Meet and Mingle on the Mariner on Eastern routes is normally held at the same time as when the Slot Tournament is being held......1pm on first sea day.

Is there any possibilty do you think of the M and M time being changed....would like to hear others experiences/thoughts on this.

Hi,

On a cruise out of Barcelona, boarding was on Saturday and the ship didn't leave Barcelona until Sunday afternoon. We were told before the cruise that our M&M was set for Sunday morning. Many of us were going to tour Barcelona that day so e-mailed RCCL and objected. The day and time was changed to a sea day. Send an e-mail they might listen to you. Also, we have found that the time and date of M&M is not "written in stone". The main office might set a time & day that is not convienent to the cruise staff and staff changes it. Good luck. mems

We dont have Casinos in the Highlands of Scotland and I love taking part in the Ship Casino Tournaments but with a big group from cc and a big group from another board I dont want to miss the M and M.

I will email RCCI and see what they say,thanks again.

We were notified prior to our Brilliance sailing (partial Panama Canal and Xmas eve departure) that we would be having the M&M prior to sailaway. Then when we got on-board we were told it was at seaday.. they switched it and some weren't notified... was very disorganized. Hope you have better luck than we did... it was fun to put the names w/faces but unf. we got there late.

You have to rember that the rooms are used for other things also. So you might not get the change.

There are usually so many different activities going on during a cruise that the timing of the Meet & Mingle gathering will probably conflict with some of them no matter when it is held. However, I would follow Mems suggestion and email RCI to see if they can eliminate this particular conflict. We always meet a lot of our fellow cruisers on the meet and mingle threads prior to the cruise and really look forward to meeting them in person once we are onboard. Actually on most of our more recent cruises, the CC group has usually met onland prior to the cruise. We met Mems on our Brilliance transatlantic in 2002 and will be sailing with her again next October on the Jewel of the Seas. :)
