Our Deepest Feelings For The Costa Crusing Families.....

Recommended Posts

To All Costa CC'ers....

My wife and myself and family would like to extend our Deepest Feelings and Regrets to all those that were onboard Sailing for the Loss of the Costa Concordia and their experiences in this most tragic incident.

As Cunarder's and Cruisers on other Lines on many cruises, we do know how these passengers anticipated the wonderful experience and trip that they were looking forward too. It's part of the cruising experience and excitement.

From the day we look forward to selecting a cruise, the excitement of booking it, watching the countdown clock click away, to receiving the final documents. We all as cruisers can't wait for the final weeks, week and days (and even hours) will we depart on the trip to the pier. That excitement of seeing the pier, walking to the checkin line, taking that Embarkation Picture, walking the Gangway and finally stepping onto the interior of the ship especially if we are repeaters. Yes it's true, even thought the ship isn't moving, the cruise has begone.

The possible loss of life is not what we anticipate as part of a cruise. The loss of personal property left behind, also not what we expect.

I know as part of the World Wide Family of Cruisers, we do hope all will be safe. Those injuried will heal both mentally & physically. And those that are lost or experienced their final cruise, May Eternal Rest Be Granted To Them, and May They Rest In Peace..

Truly, it is a sad day for the Cruising Industry and The World Wide Cruising Family especially here at Cruise Critics. We always come together greeting each other as a Family...
