Vests at Plaza and best snorkling?

Is there snorkle gear availble for rent at the Plaza resort? Particulary snorkle vests? How deep do you have to go offshore to see good marine life? Can you enjoy good snorkling and be able to stand up at the same time?

We were there last year...excellent snorkleling very close in..no vest required, but you definitely need water shoes as the rocks getting from the shore are slippery and sharp. After that, the snorkeling is wonderful..

This year I am packing the water shoes first.

Sorry I did not answer your question. We take our own snorkle gear, but they did have snorkling gear available for rent. The water is not very deep initially , so you can see a lot without going out where you are unable to stand.
