Anyone have Navigator of the Seas questions

Did any of the suite folks hear from the conceirge ahead of the cruise?

Last time I was on the Explorer we got there really early, a crew member saw us and said he'd let us in to put our stuff down as long as we did it quickly. So we went in, no one was around, put our bag in an out of the way place, and left. I wouldn't have done it without his permission.

No problem with the life boats and the view.

We are so excited about our Navigator Cruise of the Eastern Med and your statement about the lifeboats and view just put the icing on the cake. I love standing on the balcony and watching the sea go by.

The CD on our cruise was Dan Dan the Party man. He was a pretty funny guy and I would say he was in his late 40's or early 50's. During the 70's night he had a wig that cracked me up and had all the moves for the 70's.

My wife and I never went to any shows being we are in our late 30's early 40's so my wife really was not interested in them. We did go to the ice show and it was really good. Just get there early because we thought we were early and all the good seats were filled

We're on an eight day cruise in March. We will be celebrating my husband's birthday while on board. Do you remember which night they served the lobster in the MDR? I'd like to plan to go to Chop's for his birthday, but lobster night is his fav. and I don't want to mess with that! Afraid to reserve ahead of time (and screw this up), afraid not to (and not be able to get in).

We were on the 7 day Eastern so I don't know what day that would be on an 8 day. I do know Chops wasn't hard to make a reservation for, and we had a good choice of any evening (at least the week we were on). You could ask your waiter on the first night what day lobster would be on and go from there. (We thought the dinner was terrific in Chops, by the way.)

For our first ever cruise, Navigator was exceptional. We have nothing to compare to. There is nothing we can complain about. We loved Craig Jensen in the Schooner bar too. He as mostly playing requests which were all singalongs. We noticed nothing that needed fixing. We are sailing on Liberty from 13 February so maybe we'll start to get 'fussy'. Whatever, I don't think I'll ever not appreciate the beauty of these cruise ships and their staff :)

I have to say that I was extremely disappointed by the passengers that would not be patient until the crew opened the door to the hallway to enter their rooms. I couldn't tell you how many people opened the door themselves and let themselves in to their rooms while the crew was trying to get everything ready. The more these people got in the way, the longer it took for the crew to be ready to open the doors to the rest of the passengers.

I couldn't believe a set of 4 girls that helped themselves to their rooms, dropped off their stuff then came out the door telling everyone to wait because the rooms were not ready yet. Funny, but they were ready for them. Another older lady trotted past everyone to open the closed door. I told her I didn't think they wanted us in there yet. She informed me that they told her downstairs that her room would be ready. I mentioned that she must be "special" then because the rooms were not ready yet. She told me that she was "special" and proceeded through the hallway that had all the crew's carts and linens lining the hall.

Made me a bit mad that people were so inconsiderate.

I was on a back 2 back once and we had access to our room all morning. B2Brs are special that way :)

Glad to hear I have deck 11 above :D however I was wondering if there was an even wider bit hanging further over than deck 11 goes? Looking at some pictures, there seems to be a something above that sticks out wider than the width of the general deck and from the deck plans, I was trying to work out what that was. We were on Voyager last year and I was tempted to knock on the door of 1278 and ask for a wee look! I just don't want anything stopping the sun from getting to me! I gave up an AFT JS for this room - although having sailed in Aft on this class before, I wouldn't rush to do it again with the steel structures.

A bit of clarification: Deck 11 is wider than deck 10. This creates an overhang. So deck 11 overhangs your balcony a bit. You should still receive sun at certain times of the day.

No wi-fi in staterooms.

Just back from Navigator, they did have buckets of beer....but I do not know if it was cheaper or not. No soft sided coolers on this ship. Did not go to any shows so cannot comment on that. Lobster night was second formal night and the lobster was terrible. Do yourself a favor and order the prime rib to go with it just in case. I have had cruiseship lobster before, and although it is not Maine lobster it was always enjoyable....not so much this time around. Hope it is better for you! Dallas Cord in the Two Poets was fab, but he won't be there as he is going to the Serenade after next week. No prob getting reservations in Chops, and it was awesome. There was a dance party on the pool deck one night but it was so windy the ice sculptures were blowing over! so we stayed inside. Any other questions?

Some ships have been swapping out the Seattle's Best Coffee with Starbucks in the Cafe Promenade.....has that happened on Navigator? Thanks!

No it has not. On the NYE cruise they were still serving Seattle's Best, which I actually prefer to Starbuck's.:)

Many thanks for the clarification. Hopefully the Caribbean sun will still be able to get to the balcony at some point.

My wife and I just returned from the Navigator of the Seas. We sailed 15 Jan-22 Jan and we saw pretty much the whole ship. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Hi there.

I will be on the NV from 03 March.

When you were on her, who was the Captain and Hotel Director.

Keep warm

Bugs Bernie

How many roulette tables and what are the minmum bets on the Navigator ?

There were at least 2 tables and the minimum was $1. Casino was DEAD last week after 10pm, even the dealers thought so! I love Caribbean Poker and only played twice because I was at the table alone....boring.
