We went there this week. We rented lounges - $5 each. The beach is small but nice. The snorkeling was great. Spice Beach Club is being remodeled but with the lounge rental they allowed us to use their pool (we didn't), the showers and the restrooms. There is also a little beach bar where you can get something to drink. We walked along the waterfront to the beach - it took about 30 minutes. There are also many taxis waiting to take you.

If you want a lounge in the shade, get there early before the ship's tours come. It was a really nice way to spend the day.

From the Spice Beach Club web site it seems the whole area had been completely updated -- new bar, restaurant, etc. Looks very pretty!

Some cruise lines are now offering it as an excursion.

Anyone been here lately. We will be there around the end of January

Thanks Ontario Cruiser

Hi Sherrill! We'll be on Emerald Princess with you & David.

Did you book yours through the ship or be doing it on-your-own?

We're booked through the ship (12:45 time slot). Dennis & Wendy mentioned they were doing the same.

Back from our excursion at Spice Beach Club and had a very nice time there. :)

We booked ours through Princess. The bar, pool, chairs, etc. were brand new. Everything was included in the tour price except the drinks and food. Also, snorkel equipment and kayaks could be rented. The snorkeling was very good -- clear water and lots of fish!

The beach area was lovely ... but water shoes really were needed in the water. Fortunately, there was a narrow pier that allowed snorkelers to get into deeper water easily.

One of the things we enjoyed most was sitting at the beach bar in deep shade and enjoying the fastastic view.

We'd do it again! :)
