MSC Poesia ....2nd Time Around...Feb 28 4 Night

Hello to all..

well never say never...

we shall see...hopefully 2nd time around is better

So far so good, MSC seems to have stepped up their customer service

since my "problems" last fall LOL

and ...you can't beat the price

so 20 of us are off on the Poesia, hoping to dodge Donny fans and just have a nice getaway.

I do think that IF MSC improved some of their (well documented) customer service problems and technical/web snafus that they could be a viable inexpensive cruise, they offer some super deals I will say

and...the ship is very beautiful and clean. Drink Prices are cheap compared to other cruises

2nd time around I "know" the way things work...ask for water, lemons, ice etc as soon as we sit down....be sure to eat something while in the island to avoid the "dead zone" time of late afternoon.

I plan to eat in the sit down restaurant as much as possible <grin>

I also know now to order several things, something is bound to be good.

Order the pasta every time, whatever it is JMO

So wish me luck however you say it in Italian haha

It sounds like you have a good plan to avoid the aspects that weren't to your liking the first time around. I hope the pre-cruise shore-side customer service doesn't let you down this time.

I found I preferred the appetizers, pastas or risottos, and soups and salads to the main courses most evenings so I think you have a good plan with your approach to order several things. I did try the tea one afternoon on MSC Magnifica when I had missed both breakfast and lunch. I wasn't impressed with the sandwiches, but the cookies were excellent! I hope your experience on a short MSC cruise works well for you and your traveling companions.

Buona fortuna e buon viaggio!

Hello there sharecruises...

I also am on the same ship!

there is a thread in roll calls for this type of posting.... but anyways, Im thinking your idea is a good one in the MDR. I will definately take your advice on that! I was on a costa cruise once, and there was little i liked. I survived tho.. ha ha ha!!! and thanks on the cookie alert! Im a cookie lover... their desserts leave a little bit to be disired. no sugar, OR very little in them. So Im not one to waste calories 'trying' to find something i like. ha ha!

1 week left! I see you are in South Fl... where bouts? Im in vero beach. Will be traveling with my gf, leaving hubby home for the first time ever!!

we are trying to decide on an excursion to go on...nothing like waiting till the last minute huh? :)

have a wonderful time!!

Diane
