TxChick Posted March 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I have $589.77 and have never spent that much - my gratuities are already paid and alcohol purchased from Bon Voyage. What if we don't spend it all? Do I get a refund? Credit for future cruise?
lady_cruiser Posted March 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I just got a 625.00 OBC for my upcoming sailing and was told that it is non-refundable because I too use Early Saver. I will use it for The Chef's Table (I already have reservation), the Behind the Magic Tour (if I am lucky enough to be able to book it) and if need be, jewelry in one of the on-board shops. firefly333 Posted March 1, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2012 It is refundable. It will show as refundable on your onboard account. Some say they see it in edocs and it says refundable, though I have never bothered to check. Despite what people are telling you, it is marked refundable. We did buy a $120 Citizens eco drive watch that runs off sunlight .. 40% off, same as online prices. Ive managed to spend it almost every time .. but dont worry. If you go down the night before you can even get it back in cash and not have to bother with a check
Rare skittl1321 Posted March 1, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I've heard you can withdraw it from the casino. Why not go a little crazy and spend. Treat yourself to Chef's Table, buy a few things in the shops? We usually spend almost nothing on sign and sail, but it would be fun to get to splurge. firefly333 Posted March 1, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2012 if only jewelry did it for me! I'm more of a purse kind of girl and not what they have on the ship! I'll probably use it at the spa I guess dont use it if you dont want to. I have also been waiting to book excursions until Im onboard and doing a lot more thru Carnival!!! lmao .. I love spending the money. But it is refundable.. whomever posted above gave you incorrect info. Like they say you cant use OBC for the casino and tips either.. but thats not true either. Maybe a legal disclaimer kind of thing?

FL Naturelover Posted March 1, 2012 #10 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Gee, I'd love to have that problem. I can think of a few places to spend it. At the Spa. Casino. Steakhouse. And the list goes on....
TxChick Posted March 1, 2012 Author #11 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Our excursions are paid for as well so we will probably use it in between Red Frog and the cucina. We might spend $100 on gambling so we will probably spend the rest at the spa. Thank you all that responded
PA Dutchman Posted March 1, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 1, 2012 why would you bother. IT'S REFUNDABLE PEOPLE. Not all OBC is refundable, read the fine print
jdbmga Posted March 2, 2012 #13 Share Posted March 2, 2012 I've had ES OBC refunded. Stock and FCC OBC are non-refundable.
firefly333 Posted March 2, 2012 #14 Share Posted March 2, 2012 Not all OBC is refundable, read the fine print ES price drop OBC is refundable .. which is what the OP asked about. This is the subject line Early Saver OBC - what if I don't use it all I guess people are not reading the subject line giving answers?? I know stock and FCC is nonrefundable and other promo OBC .. but thats not what the OP asked about.
