Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral

If you search the Carnival board for reviews from cruisers on the Pride, you'll find lots of info about activites in the PC/Cocoa Beach area. If you've never visited the Kennedy Space Center it is worth your time to spend most of a day there. And there's always the obligitory stop at Ron Jon.

Good luck! :)

I need recommendations for restaurants & fun night-life around Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral.

Thanx!

If you have a car, Carol & I enjoy several places on the 520 Causeway. There is a restaurant called The Sunset (left hand side just before the first Causeway bridge). They have good food and play music as the sun sets. After the first bridge, on the left is the Tiki Bar. A little more ecclectic than the Sunset, but a fun place also. If you continue up the 520 you eventually run into Cocoa Village, is has a lot of shops and a couple of restaurants. Also a nice river walk area.

A friend in Baltimore, who has relatives on Merrit Island also says that the Dixie Crossroads Restaurant in Titusville (going the other way from the previous directions) is also worth a vist. We have not been there.

We always catch happy hour at Fishlips bar and grill. If you dine upstairs on the patio, you can watch the cruise ships leave for the day. Food is good too. All the appetizers are half off! And supre cheap drinks and live music.

I agree Fishlips is a fun place, you may also try Millikans Reef, which is next door, it is a little more upscale.

Millliken's reef is GROSS!! We had a gift crtificate for 2 free meals. The bill was about $70. It was so horrible we left the food on the table and went to McDonalds - not kidding!

Service was slow and not friendly. It is more upscale and not laid back. We were dressed appropriately. not sure why the service was so bad.

Go with Fishlips, it is a lot more fun and the food is great!
