Titanic - The New Series by Julian Fellowes

Recommended Posts

Will anyone be watching this series tomorrow night. No way will it be historically accurate, but from the trailers it does look good.

I watched. It was awful - but can't wait for the next episode! :)

Actually, the best thing about it was in the ad break for the film Titanic in 3D!

Let's hope episode 2 helps develop the characters more.

I thought it was quite slow. Will watch next episode to see if it gets better.

Watched Episodes 1 and 2 but will give the next 2 episodes a miss. Just no sense of drama IMO and can't get into the characters at all

The final episode starts in 20 minutes. I will watch it, but it has been disappointing, as has most of the coverage of the 100th anniversary on the television.

I sailed a TA on QM2 in her inaugural years in 2004, and we passed right over the spot where Titanic sank, and threw flowers into the wake.

The BBC is onboard Balmoral, and the reporter said a lot of passengers were a bit unnerved at the blackness of the sea, so dark that they could hardly see the water. I guess it brought it home to them just how far away they were from safety if anything went wrong.

I am glad we crossed over the site in the daylight, because even on some Med cruises I've been on, the only thing you can see is the white foam of the waves hitting the ship.

God Bless the lost.
