Aussie Teen Posted April 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2012 We are on an APT/AMA Paris -Monte Carlo Cruise in August and I am working on a fitness regime! I was wondering how much walking was involved each day. I know it will vary a bit but I want to be prepared! I expect there will be a bit of up hill walking involved too. Where are the rally steep climbs?
pjtraveler Posted April 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Probably 4+ miles per day, more if you choose some optionals in the afternoon. But this is not sustained walking--lots of time to stop and talk about what you are seeing. Some of the walking on cobblestones can be difficult so opt for good, comfortable shoes, with ankle support for sure.
pjtraveler Posted April 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2012 There are some steep climbs, but if you have trouble walking, sometimes a bus will be arranged to take you to the top, or an easier, round-about way up a hill is possible. In some places (castles, etc.), there may be quite a few steps, so work on that in your fitness regimen!
