HDMI ports enabled on TVs?

Is it easy to change the input on the TV to Auxiliary to view what you are wanting to watch?

It was on the Crown although you could not change things like brightness or contrast which needed a little tweaking.

On the Sapphire the flat screen Viewsonics have the HDMI on the side but the other inputs are on the back and hard to reach. Here's a picture--http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=28986223&postcount=3

Mine didn't swivel, maybe I was too tentative.

The photo was taken in a mini-suite. When we were in a balcony cabin later in the year I don't believe it was mounted on a swivel.

Unfortunately, each ship may have a different model of TV. The flat screens on the Coral were 24" but those on the Sapphire were 27". They both had HDMI inputs but a recent post noted that there were no HDMI inputs on TVs on the Emerald. No one answer is correct for all ships and you really need a response from someone who has been on that specific ship in the last year or two.

The Crown had the tightest clearance of any of the ships. You could hardly get two fingers along side the edge of the TV & had to go over the top in order to get to any of the inputs. Without a small mirror it's very difficult at best.

Off the Island P. Didn't bother with using the HDMI port but it would appear you could switch to it. The Island P rooms' cabinetry also were designed for old tube TVS in mind so the LCDs are (poorly) retrofitted. Not hard to get to the HDMI port (or other inputs) at all.

As you say, there's room on the Island to reach the inputs but some other ships it's very difficult without having a small mirror.

I just purchased a cheap DVD player for my 49 day cruise on the Grand. Am I going to be able to hook it up....

We were on the Diamond in a mini and the preferences were locked on the televison. We called the tech guys to change them, but they would not. Had to watch our dvd through the laptop.
