greenie Posted May 11, 2005 #26 Share Posted May 11, 2005 I'm not sure that I understand your question completely. Are you asking that if the price goes up (after booking), will they increase the amount that they charge you? If that's the question the answer is no. -Monte Monte, there's a good reason for you not understanding my post! I meant if the price goes DOWN. Sheesh--guess I shouldn't try thinking too much before my 2nd cup of coffee! Sorry about that. And thank you for the input, Carolyn and Rich--I don't know how you understood me (!) but you did and thanks! :)
nannyny Posted May 11, 2005 #27 Share Posted May 11, 2005 Greenie, I transferred my April '06 cruise to my TA. I forfeited the $100 onboard ship credit but was able to book an AF for a just a few $ more than the BA. NCL wanted $500 more for the AF, go figure! I'll be watching those prices, if they drop, I make a call.
siuyan Posted May 11, 2005 #28 Share Posted May 11, 2005 I just paid off my balance last week on the Spirit which will be on 7/2 for an inside cabin CAT II. This week NCL is running a special on oceanview rooms from CAT E to CAT CC for $200 less than what i have paid. I called my TA but they can only upgrade me to CAT E which is on deck 5. No credit or shipboard credit....

The normal upgrade would be zero. -Monte
ebedore Posted May 16, 2005 #30 Share Posted May 16, 2005 By May 9th the price had dropped $130 per person. I called NCL over the weekend but the rep said that it is a management call and I shoudl try again during the workweek. So I'll try that next. We'll see. I am hoping that they will just upgrade my cabin like the other posting. It can't hurt to try, right?

On the other hand they could say yes :)
ebedore Posted May 16, 2005 #32 Share Posted May 16, 2005 I called and spoke to a supervisor and was given the choice to upgrade from my Cat G (obstructed ocenaview on deck 8) to Cat F (non-obstrcuted on level 4) or a $50 OBC. I took the OBC. I am happy that they were nice enough to do something. You're right SHOREGUY, it can't hurt to ask!

Deck 8 gives you great access to everything.

ebedore Posted May 17, 2005 #35 Share Posted May 17, 2005 Just contact the main Reservations line and when the rep says no, ask for a supervisor. You need to call during normal business hours too; I got nowhere on the weekend. I'm not thrilled that if I held out just 5 more days, I would have saved $260 and only ended up with $50 but oh well. I know much better for next time.
