If I get the day pass from Majestic Tours, where do we pick them up?

At Atlantis, they will give you their tour desk location. I believe it's in the Coral Towers.

Make sure you bring a print out of your receipt. They have been known to lose information.

Is it really cheaper? I was looking at this excursion on NCL.com today and the aquaventure package is $119 and that includes transportation.

Has anyone done this excursion and just gotten your wrist band at the port and then taken a taxi to Atlantis? I have heard that it can take a while to get everyone situated on the buses and that there is a tour of the hotel/casino etc. before you can go play in the park. I sure would love to be able to skip that altogether! As long as I get my wristband am I good to go or do I actually have to ride the bus? Just wondering...

NCL cannot give you your voucher to go get your wristbands. Atlantis will not accept them. You must go with the group to get your passes.

The package is considered a 1/2 day pass.. due to the timing.

Our family of 14 got the passes for the aquarium and dig last week. My husband was able to get a discount so we felt we would try it.

First we had to get on a long line which moved very slowly and waste alot of time just to get the passes. This was with 6 little kids! The aquariums were interesting but not any better than other aquariums I have seen for alot less money. The dig was just more of the same. The outside grounds were beautiful but of course we could only look at the pools. It was extremely hot and after 90 minutes everyone just wanted to get back to the ship. Also we had to walk through the casino both coming and going and it really stunk from stale smoke.

This was the biggest waste of time and money of our entire cruise. If we had paid full price for all 14 of us I would have been very upset.

Sorry you found out the hard way, but glad you posted. I've been saying this for years.. Way overpriced, Way overhyped.

Thanks for posting all your knowledge! :)

We were going to do Atlantis but after reading your posts, we decided on the Blue Lagoon instead.

Thank for the information.... I know that NCL cannot give me my wristband. I was just wondering if I could meet the Atlantis people at the pier and turn in my signed release form, get my wristband and then just skip the bus and go to Atlantis on my own.

As for the pricing... the excursion is listed as a 7 hour excursion which is pretty much all the time we will have in port so I guess a 1/2 day pass is probably fine for us. *shrugs* I just do not see the benefit of not booking this one through the ship I guess. Anyway, thanks again for the info!

Don't know why or how but others have posted that NCL has the Atlantis Aquaventure full day pass for that great price. So in that case I would book thru NCL. Most other cruiselines have this excursion for at least $150 pp or more (adult price). We were on Carnival last summer and booked thru majestic tours.

I am not sure what to do when we are in Nassau in September. We aren't interested in the water slides as we may do that in January when we are there again. Do we need a pass to walk around Atlantis? We are interested in the aquarium and the dig but we don't need a tour guide. I find that tour guides are either too fast or too slow. Plus I hear getting on a bus to Atlantis takes a lot of time.

you can no longer walk around atlantis or see the aquarium without some type of day pass.

DIGS aquarium passes are $40 / $30 for kids. It does NOT include access to the grounds, pools, walkways, beaches, lagoons or other exhibits. It's for the aquarium only You don't need to use a tour guide, but you DO need to pay for a DIGS pass.

To use the pools, slides, beaches it's $120pp/

To use the beach is $80.. but does not include pools/ slides or grounds

The Casino is open to the public for free (no children allowed). BUt you are no longer allowed to wander around the lobbies and check out the scenery from the windows or balconies.

When you enter, you will be "escorted" by securiy to the casino area. No checking out the lobbies as before.

If you take a cruise tour ... you need to go with your group and get your wristbands/passes when you arrive with your guide. You cannot go ahead of time with a voucher.

o!

You still need to go with your group. You're paperwork is not sufficient to get your wristband.. which is given out AT Atlantis when your group checks in.

You could probably meet your group there in the lobby.. but you won't be able to move around the property until they arrive and you get your wristband.

You can't walk around the lobbies without a wristband anymore.
