Coffee card is around $31 with tip included.

Soda sticker is about $4.50/day with tip included. (must purchase for all days on a cruise, not just some of them)

I purchased an insulated mug with mine and the total was about $40.

The last two times I purchased coffee cards, the mug was included. It was around $33 for the card and the mug. Once I had to ask, and the baristas at the IC were more than happy to oblige. The card includes 15 expresso-based drinks (no experation- when the punches run out- no morne lattes...) and unlimited brewed coffee, specialty tea, and hot chocolate (for that cruise only).

They don't give you a mug with coffee card purchase anymore. You can buy the mug alone for about $7.00 or if you purchase a coffee card and a mug at the same time, it adds about $5.00 to the cost of the card.

I've never bought the coffee card but we are thinking of doing it for our Alaska cruise. Can we just buy one card and use it to get both our lattes? I don't know if we would go through 2 whole cards.

I understand the person that buys the card should be the only one who gets the other free stuff (brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate).

Because the coffee card is a punch card, you are limited to 15 expresso based drinks. You are punched one time for each drink that you order. The card can be shared, as long as you are willing to share your punches with your spouse...;)

The soda sticker is designed and dedicated to one user only. That user will have the sticker on his/her stateroom card.

No problem using one card to purchase drinks with punches. Just don't abuse the free stuff. Princess has already changed the coffee card rules once and could do it again (such as requiring a punch for any drink with no "free" stuff) if people keep posting how they got away abusing the system. Just MHO.

In the International Café and some lounges:

Brewed coffee is $1.25/cup, most specialty coffees are $2.50-$2.75 for a regular size, espresso $1.75.

$33.35 buys a coffee card with fifteen punch outs for specialty coffees, and unlimited brewed coffee at the cafes and some lounges that have brewed coffee. You can also use it in the dining rooms for specialty coffees. The server is directed to take two punch outs for double shot orders, some do, some don't.

Since the coffee card is for a discrete quantity it's not time limited. If there are punch outs remaining at the end of the cruise the card will carry over to the next cruise. The unlimited brewed coffee does not carry over.

If you are accustomed to good quality coffee, you definitely will want a coffee card. The vile concoction in the Horizon Court (buffet) is syrup based. Room service and dining room coffee are also syrup based. I must say the dining room coffee tastes a tad better. Maybe the kitchen staff cleans their machine.

Not that syrup-based coffee is always a bad thing. My hometown source, http://www.javacoffee.com/, informs me there are different grades for syrup coffee, as with ground coffee. Regardless of grade, the taste of syrup based is always going to be somewhat inferior to an equivalent grade of ground. Based on flavor, Princess must use the lowest grade (cheapest) available.

You'll find brewed coffee from grounds at some lounges, and in the International Cafe. Not all ships have the Int'l Cafe. They do, however, have a Coffee Bar for regular and specialty coffees.
