NFL games shown inboard??

someone is going to know this better then me but here goes.

the games get fed by denver co. tv stations. sometimes people say it is from miami stations. at least one game should be regional teams. since this is the very first week you won't have 'the local team is 0-13 so the station is showing a more competitive game' situation. besides denver is playing at 8pm nationally.

they don't have a nfl package with every single game. mnf should be a international espn sat feed with international commercials and lousy announcers and it might even be in spanish. there is a thursday 13th game. i don't remember seeing a thursday night game on board.

i'd say you are going to get 2 games at 1pm eastern. 1 4pm game, the 8pm game, the 2 mnf games. and the international station games might be available at the bars but not in your cabin. if you want to know exactly what games will be on keep following a denver tv guide or the tv stations until the games schedule is posted.

The games used to be fed from Denver stations which made it easy to look up online before you boarded which games would be shown.

We cruise every September and are diehard NFL fans so we always figured it out before boarding.

Only missed one Sunday night game a couple of years ago when they lost the satellite signal all night.

Back then you could get the Denver CBS and FOX and NBC feeds in your cabin or the sportsbar.

On Monday night you could go to the sportsbar and get the Espn International feed of MNF.

THEN last year in their great wisdom, Carnival decided to switch to random feeds from everywhere.

Last year we boarded the Legend on the 2nd Sunday of the season.

We were ready for our usual afternoon of partying in the sportsbar with fellow NFL diehards.

Turns out that the Fox and ABC feeds we're from the Virgin Islands and the NBC feeds were from Puerto Rico,

The bartender informed us that Legend had not gotten a CBS feed from anywhere in months. (CBS of course had the best games that Sunday)

So basically there is no guarantee which city's feeds you will get or IF you even get all of the main networks.

But yes you will have some NFL games on board, just maybe not the games you wanted to see.

There is no NFL Sunday Ticket at sea.

(unless you get the app like I did last year and watch it on your cell phone .

Not nearly as good as a nice flat screen.)

We sailed during the end of the regular season a few years ago and as avid football fans we made it a point to see whatever games we could. The best (or worst?) was the Sunday Night ESPN International feed... The announcers were (I think) in Argentina, or at least the feed was out of Argentina. The rapid fire Spanish, the butchering of most of the players names, the bizarre commercials... It was a whole different kind of entertaining! We were able to follow the game, and one of our fellow guests lost a bet with a buddy had had to play commentator for a whole quarter... Which was too funny! Him, trying to keep up with the game, over the Argentinean guys, and loud enough that we could all hear, but no so loud that he'd get in trouble...

The games are important to us, and we appreciate that we are able to watch at least some of them. But if we were super die hard we would probably just not cruise during the season. There is no way of knowing which games (if any) you will see. The feeds are all via satellite, and sometimes they go down or are so slow that the feed is worthless.
