Avoiding excursions in Nassau

Calandgabe

Recommended Posts

We are cruising on Carnival to Nassau and Freeport in September. We are doing a kayaking and snorkel Eco tour in Freeport, so in Nassau I just want to shop and then have lunch on a beach and sit in a chair and drink piña coladas in the sun, maybe under an umbrella. Can someone tell me the best way to go about this? I don't mind paying a little, but it seems silly to buy an excursion just to get to a beach we could walk to.

Thanks in advance!

Kim
