My review of FTTF

We booked FTTF for our Destiny cruise that we just returned from this morning. It is easily the best $50 I have spent for a cruise. The only way I would not get it is if you are already VIP/Platinum.

We walked into the terminal and was immediately taken to the VIP line for check-in, were on the boat as soon as the weddings had boarded. Just make sure you tell the porters and watch them label your bags as FTTF, we took their word for it and they arrived at 5pm LOL, No fault of Carnival's. Basically everytime we showed our FTTF sticker on our S&S card we were treated like a VIP. It even allowed us to go to the front of the line to get off the ship on non tender ports which easily saved us 30+ minutes in Grand Turk.

Long story short, if you are debating FTTF, DO IT!

I know you have to book it as an activity. But when does it be come available?

I booked it for our Aug 2013 cruise in September of this year...so I think it's available right away. It's only on certain ships and they only offer a certain number of them per sailing.

I completely agree with the OP. If it's offered on your ship DO IT!! We just got off the Liberty yesterday and it was money well spent! We got to our room immediately, had our luggage within an hour and any time I had to call customer service or go to the desk, I was helped immediately! We wanted to get off the ship early yesterday as we had a full day planned before our flight back and they gave us #1 luggage tags - we were off the ship luggage in hand within 15 minutes of #1 being called.

Quick question. Did you have any problems getting to your stateroom immediately? I know they normally have those doors locked, so just curious how it went.

I didn't purchase FTTF but sailed on a ship that offers it and I'm Platinum which means I've automatically receive all the benefits of FTTF. Mainly the difference would be able to get room right away. The doors are closed and this is the sign that is on the doors on my most recent cruise on the Sensation on November 8th. This was the Sensations first cruise for FTTF. The agents at the terminal did not know that Platinum had access to their cabins right away too, I educated them on it. Below is the sign that's on the closed doors. I walked through the door and went right to my room. Believe I was in my room at 11:45am.

I carried my bags on with me, but my luggage tag did have the FTTF logo on it.

Most of the rooms I walked by were not ready as the steward was still working on them. I'd imagine they may say something. When I walked into my room it was all complete and all the normal welcome paper work, fun times etc was there. I put my stuff away, closed my door and left. Was great not having to carry around my bags. Steward did welcome me too.

Once I got off this ship I had gone right to another ship that didn't offer the FTTF and was going to try going right to my room, but decided not to. However, I did check about 12:30 and the doors were open, so it wasn't that much longer from when I boarded around 11:15am.

You are correct that all of the doors are closed, there is a sign on the door that says VIP and FTTF please come on in because we have already prepared your room, we were on board by 11:15 and our room was ready. If anyone stops you simply show the FTTF logo and they will almost escort you anywhere you want to go.

boo boo dining works'like this... your request goes before others..so if early is wait listed and you wantnit..you will get it.

if you took any time dining you have to wait in the line like every one else.

it was posted a bit ago that someone went to the front of the line..tomfind out that ship was bought upmto speed on how it works... there is no front of the line for any time dining

I am happy FTTF worked for you. I am Platinum and I find that it doesn't matter what color my card is, I am treated like everyone else. We had a cabana booked at HMC so were waiting in a lounge and on the first tender to the island...

Luggage--even VIP luggage doesn't get there right away. Our luggage got to our cabin by 3pm, but we had some problems with embarkation, ok massive problems with embarkation and thanks to every single passenger being grilled by US customs VIP's weren't allowed to board until 1230pm and when you've been waiting for two hours, it isn't a fun wait....
