Lifou Turtles

A had a client mention to me that in Lifou they went to the left or right of the pier and went swimming with the turtles.

 

Has anyone done this before / can anyone give any further information on this?

I spent a week on Lifou about 10 years ago and we saw 5 turtles in the area where the ships anchor. It is towards the church where I saw them.

We saw them from the tender this month they were to the left of the pier looking towards the shore -well away from the swimmers.

The turtles are on both sides of the pier where the tender comes in . We were there earlier this month. You can hire kayaks on the beach fairly cheaply and chase the turtles.

 

You will need reef shoes on this island.
