Sargent_Schultz Posted December 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Shrimp cocktail and spring rolls are available every night and are on the Everyday Menu.
Sargent_Schultz Posted December 18, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2012 How long of a cruise - I suppose that might change things. Above menu is for a 7 day cruise.
Colorado Kat Posted December 18, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Looks good to me. Also other entrees available, depending on the day? Are the egg rolls tasty?
serene56 Posted December 18, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2012 They are not like egg rolls we get from the chinese eateries. I did find them good though- they were long and skinny. We got some that were overcooked- and some that were really perfect. Did they do away with the salsa and chips?
douglinc@msn.com Posted December 18, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 18, 2012 I'm really glad they brought the shrimp cocktail back.
TriciaEMTB Posted December 18, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2012 The shrimp cocktail is nothing special. Five tiny shrimp. I don't get the big uproar about losing it... but on my recent glory cruise there was shrimp cocktail and springrolls every night, no chips and salsa. A shame, because they'd have made a nice change. LOL.. i called those shrimp miniscule. I have never seen that tiny of a shrimp on a coctail before... (why bother) sorry to hear they got rid of the salsa and chips. (and the places that have the taco/burrito bar have no chips either.. plenty of salsa but no chips..
TriciaEMTB Posted December 18, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 18, 2012 The only time I saw chips was during the Mexican deck party late at night. But no cheese for them. Gasp.

I asked our waiter one time and he didn't know for sure. I would love to try them but I have to avoid anything that I am not sure about. Thanks. CTCruizin Posted December 18, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 18, 2012 The vegetable Spring Rolls were fantastic. I had them every night, in additional to any of the daily starters that caught my eye. I don't remember seeing any spinach in them, but I couldn't guarantee that there isn't any.
SandS204ever Posted December 18, 2012 #12 Share Posted December 18, 2012 The Veg Rolls on the Splendor last week were "ok". They were warm, one was overcooked the others abour right, no dipping sauce, kinda bland taste. Dont recall spinich in them. The Burrito Bar on the Splendor had chips, cold nasty chips but chips non the less (after first time asked for no chips). They tasted a week old and like someone had left the bag open the entire time :(
Tree Hugger Posted December 18, 2012 #13 Share Posted December 18, 2012 On our Thanksgiving cruise there was a little boy (6-8 years) at an adjacent table that evidently really liked shrimp. One night he had EIGHT orders of shrimp cocktail for dinner. I liked the spring rolls, don't really remember what was in them, but I liked them. texymouse Posted December 18, 2012 #14 Share Posted December 18, 2012 I had chips and salsa once as a appetizer on both of my 7 day cruises, in sept and Oct. Its not every night.. but I did see it once during the week. Im not sure where people got it that its not there at all. Once per week on my cruises. I can not eat spinache for yucky reasons... but those mushrooms are to die for. :D
Sargent_Schultz Posted December 18, 2012 #17 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Looks good to me. Also other entrees available, depending on the day? Are the egg rolls tasty? Yes. That was just the available everyday menu on 7 day cruises. In addition there is a different menu for each day of the cruise, and also a different dessert menu for each day of the cruise. I'm not a spring roll connoisseur.

TriciaEMTB Posted December 18, 2012 #22 Share Posted December 18, 2012 I don't see where anyone said they're not there at all but they're not on the everyday menu. Which is a shame. A lot of nights I ordered shrimp cocktail and Cesar salad because nothing else interested me. It would've been nice to change it up with chips and salsa
Sargent_Schultz Posted December 18, 2012 #23 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Is this the current menu for a 4 day? No, it was the available Everyday menu from a 7 day cruise. Probably similar for a 4 day cruise. In addition, there would be another different menu every night, but probably not exactly what is on a 7 day cruise. More like a mixture from the various days. It can't be that hard to make, but they do like advance notice for special requests.
TriciaEMTB Posted December 18, 2012 #25 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Why would I make extra work for the staff? The shrimp wasn't bad, just small and nothing special. The salad was good too. Just would have been nice to have the option but if its not there I'm not gonna whine and cry about it.
