Krazy Kruizers Posted January 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2013 There isn't any charge to watch the ship's DVD's in your cabin. Beside the TV there is a black booklet which lists all the DVD's that are available. You can either call the front desk and have them delivered. Or you can go to the library in the Exploration's Cafe and pick them up yourself. Check this out:
Rare richwmn Posted January 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2013 A listing of the movies available on the Noordam a few months ago is at http://www.wa70.com/HALMovies.pdf They were available for pickup at the front desk, not the Explorations Cafe. luvteaching Posted January 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2013 We were on the Amsterdam this summer for two weeks and, for the first time, did the DVD rental. We felt there was a nice selection and enjoyed this option. I just went to the front desk and picked them up right away. I also returned them to the front desk. sail7seas Posted January 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2013 If you happen to be in a deluxe veranda suite, the concierge will get any DVD for you.

The Front Desk is staffed 24 hours/day, so you can get a DVD whenever you want.
O2B@C Posted January 3, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Just be prepared for the fact that if the ship is in Code Red (sanitary measures to combat norovirus), DVDs will not be available to borrow until the Code Red is lifted. This is unlikely, but it does happen. So if you really count on having DVD movies to watch, you may want to bring a couple with you just in case. Typhoon1 Posted January 4, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 4, 2013 There is a decent sized selection of fairly recent releases listed in a booklet in your cabin. Pick up the phone, and they will be delivered to your cabin.
