I recently got off the Conquest- It was just as your pictures showed and I felt like I had been there. Not happy with the food cuz nothin was hot in MDR except soup and the cold soup was cold I am a foodie and I do expect it on cruises, however staff was great. We had room 6036 on the Secret deck and it was roomie and very comfortable.

Great drink package and casino was " friendly". Carnival again I doubt it.

This one was pretty good, but I only got a taste. That's all Elizabeth would give me.

The Jerk Pork I thought was a little dry but the sauce was pretty good. I need to try it again to see if it was an off night or if that is how it is. I think next time will be a different.

In the past, I have enjoyed the pork dishes on Carnival.

it must have been an "off night" as we have had the jerk pork a few times and everytime has been fabulous!!!! it's one of my fave dishes.

Sorry to hear, but our food was never cold - except for the stuff that was supposed to be cold.

I think maybe just an off plate because other pork dishes were fine. But for those who say I never criticize Carnival, :p, I just don't need to do it with as much venom as some. :p

Loved your review! :)

Curious...what time dining did you do? We definately want to do the tastebar but we have early seating and wondered if we would have time to try it out before dinner.

Thank you.

We had late, but the Taste Bar is open 5:30pm - 8:30pm so no reason you couldn't try it. It isn't offered every night - check your Fun Times.

Thank you.

I though it was a little more, but the website says $21 and there is a coupon there you can also use (maybe). I forgot about it.

I did try to charge, but the card reader wanted a 4 digit pin and I don't know if the credit card I brought had one or not.

How much was the taxi to get there and back? Looks like an awesome place to spend the day :)

There is a lot to do there. I had to rush around as it was and could easily have spent a few more hours there.

Yay you will post new thread it live a almost?

Maybe a tease now and then. First I have to upload the pictures to my blog before I can post them here. and caption. and... A little too much work to do both at the same time - especially for a short cruise.

Probably more like I did with Conquest and shortly after the cruise, really post a lot of pictures here.

Only two scoops? You might consider ordering a fruit plate with. Or something, anything else to dunk in. :):)

Sarge,

Wish I had thought of that before---using the melting cake as a fondue for the fruit. You are giving me wonderful ideas for my next cruise! Not booked yet, but looking.;)

Sarge - First, hope you had a wonderful time on your Elation cruise. Second - Can you tell me how dressy/casual Deannie's restaurant is? We are doing a Segway tour in the FQ from 3-5 and I'm trying to figure out if we can go straight to the restaurant for an early dinner afterwards or if we will need to go back to the hotel to change first.

Thanks!

Donna

Not dressy at all - no dress code other than perhaps shoes and shirt required. In other words, casual. Enjoy! :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wanted to sail the Conquest before she left NO but ended up doing the repo leg from OSJ to Miami. I love the Conquest, sailed her out of Galveston in Sept 2011. Loved the before and after pics.

You're welcome and Thank you!

Great review with wonderful pictures, thanks for posting.
