Conquest cabin 2470

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Does anyone have photos of Carnival Conquest Cabin 2470?

For some reason, when I attempt to view photos on Carnival's website,

the images aren't available for it nor for 2470 on similar ships.:(

There are pictures of 2470 posted at cruise line rooms from Glory and Freedom.

We had this room once on the Glory and it was awesome!!!! My only complaint is that it doesn't sleep 4 people and it doesn't have a connecting door, so we can no longer book it with our kids.

We're going to have this room on the Glory in May. Did you notice any noise from the crew stairs door right next to you? My sister will have 2462. Did you happen to peek in that room at all?

We didn't notice any noise at all from the stairwell. The majority of the noise we heard was from the ship hitting the waves and also the thrusters when we were pulling into port.

Thanks a bunch! My Mom is worried that we'll be kept up by staff going up and down the stairs. Now I can let her know that's not the case.

We had this cabin on the Conquest..Looks just like the picture..No noise from stairs only thrusters when coming into port. Most port mornings we were already out of the cabin so did not feel the vibes until we arrived back home in Galveston. Got DH up and moving!!;)

We have the same cabin on the Freedom next month. I can't wait. I am more worried about the long walk to the elevators.:D

I'm so excited! My husband and I have 2470 on Freedom and we are sailing on February 3rd! 2 weeks from today! We were randomly searching cruise itineraries and happened to see this cabin as available. I thought to myself, "Huh, this one looks so much bigger and has two Windows, yet is the same cost as the others?" I booked it, and after researching, realized that it is special! This will be my fifth Carnival Cruise, but my husband's first! (We're Newlyweds...) We are so excited!

We had 2470 on the Freedom at the end of October. We LOVED it...DH couldn't stop commenting on how great it was. I did a review and the link is in my signature. I have other pictures of the cabin. The whole cruise was great, we had a wonderful time. Happy cruising to all! :D

Thanks for posting all the pics! I am getting excited for our Glory cruise! My sister changed rooms so she can have the bigger one like me and my mom. Now we have 2470 and 2473. Any recent Glory cruisers had these rooms?

I'm not too worried about the vibrations - I'll just take an Ambien if I need to ;) We are really looking forward to all the space. It will be my first OV (we have always had balconies) and I don't want to feel closed in. I think I made a good choice.

Heavenn Thanks for this post. My wife and I just upgraded to this room and it's twin 2473 for our cruise on Conquest in May. We were booked into a 4J, but when I saw the new sale, I looked into it. It was actually $70/room cheaper than my current 4J and 2x larger with double picture windows and a view of the water

This garage used to be listed on www.airportparkinginc.com in 2010.

They're not anymore.

Does anyone know if you can still pay in advance online somewhere or do I just show up and hope there is available space?

I have a couple of recent pics of Glory 2470 (I went on the 2/17 Western Carib). Send me your email address to forward...

We LOVED it! But, be warned: there's a lot of vibration and loud "clanking" when docking! We just used that as our alarm clock! The room is so spacious. The walk back wasn't too bad.

check out "cruise line rooms dot com" for photos of cabins. if they don't have your exact cabin, they frequently have the same category, just further down the hall or on the opposite side of the ship.

I stayed in Conquest 2470 last year. It was great. The room is huge. Loved the two windows. I'll see if I have some room pictures at home this afternoon.

There was some vibration and noise when pulling into and out of port mostly. It wasn't terrible, and by the time we were ready to sleep it was nothing.

edit - navybaby on first page was right - that's exactly the same room as on Conquest. The only thing that got old was the long walk back to the back of the ship. But that's nitpicking. You got an awesome room.

For those that are sailing soon, could you also see about getting some info on 2462 also? Thanks!!!

Ive cruised in both 2462 and 2454 three times. The cabin is L shaped with a table and chairs by the 2nd window. I liked it.. but it used to be sold cheaper, as a 1A.

Its nice to have the 2nd window, but I would not pay extra for it.

I moved my sister out of 2462 when I found out it didn't have a sofa. I think that would be a little uncomfortable to sit down. Not that the couches are wonderful or anything, but you know what I mean. Plus it didn't look like there is a lot of walking room the way the bed is positioned facing the windows, so I put her in 2473. That way we have the same cabin size, just backwards if you will.

Yep! They look great! So you really liked the room? Would you book it again?

I loved the room. While we didn't spend a ton of time there, it was great to scatter our stuff around. Would I book again? Absolutely. But my circumstances has / will change.

Technically, the room can only be booked for 2. I have an 18 year son and 5 year old daughter. What we did was book them in the inside cabin across the hall (2468), but had our daughter sleep on the sofa in 2470 with my wife and I. The room steward (forgot her name...Saundra, maybe?) brought in her life-jacket from 2468 and made the sofa up like a bed. Being that my son will be off to college, we need a room for 3, so this room will not work for us in the future.

The elevators closest to the room will take you right to the entrance of the Platinum dining room, the Alchemy Bar and the Red Sail Buffet Restaurant. Very convenient. However, we had late dining and were assigned the top floor (Atlantic Deck) of the Golden dining room. We just walked through the Ivory Bar, grabbed a drink and then entered the Golden dining room.

Not sure of your situation, but the one big con about the location of the room is that Camp Carnival is so damn far! It's not bad going there as my daughter would literally run with excitement down the hall. But walking with a cranky, or asleep, kid in your arms is a workout!

The ship was in great shape. The breakfast burritos are the best. Every morning, I would get a bowl instead of the burrito. Guy's burgers were great also.

The chair hogs were everywhere! On the last sea day, I figured I'd go up at 7:30am, grab some coffee and find some loungers for the wife and I. I found ONE loungers available! The guy next to me said that there were people that came out at 6am, put their belongings down and then disappear. He hadn't seen them for 1.5 hours. It worked out because my wife showed up at 2pm!!

Oh, on that last sea day, there was a big dark spot on the outdoor screen. The pixels or whatever may have blown out. I have a pic if you want to see. I hope they fixed it.

Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Thanks for all the info! Any additional pics you think I would like, feel free to send my way! The people on our Roll Call haven't been on the Glory since the upgrades, so I'm sure they would appreciate them too. This will be my first time on her.

No Camp Carnival this time. DH and 2 DS are staying home - it's a "girl's cruise" My mom, sister, her girlfriend, and me. I hope we get assigned to the Platinum dining room. Did you ever hear any noise from above?

Conquest room looks identical to the Glory except the pictures on the wall. Being they are both Conquest Class Ships, it's not surprising. Don't know if anyone experienced the same thing on other ships in this room, but I'm going to repost what I put on another thread here:

Just back from the Glory rooms 2470 and 2473 May 24.

The noise was non existent when going at a slow speed. But later the first night after spending some time in the Casino, my mom and I went back down to the room, and it was just a rattling and a shaking. We looked at each other and burst out laughing. "Brittany (my sister) is going to kill me for booking her in one of these rooms!" I blurted out. We had 2470 and her and her friend had 2473.

Oh well. What are you going to do? We put a bunch of torn off corners of papers and stuffed them under the rattles between the plastic light strips and the metal trim, one under the left corner of the front of the safe between the door and frame. That took care of most of the squeaks and rattles. A little tweaking here and there was needed throughout the 5 days.

It was loudest the first night and I had to have the tv up so loud, I finally gave up and just turned it off.

I compare the vibration and noise part to sitting next to a big jet engine at cruising altitude. We became accustomed and actually fond of the sound and the mini massages we received while lying in bed. In fact, I miss it! The rooms themselves are huge and I would book it again in a second. However, if you are someone that likes total quiet and stillness, these are definitely not the rooms for you!
