We will be in St. Thomas on the Royal Princess...dock time is from 8am to 6 pm.

Was wondering if anyone has done this....any advise on how to pull this off.

How long would it take to get from St. Thomas to JVD?

Anyone know a private charter that they would recommend?

Thanks for your thoughts!!!

You'll find a ton of posts here on that subject. Bottom line is the ferry departs Red Hook at 8AM, and the private outfits leave either Red Hook, Sapphire Marina, or another hotel between 7 and 8AM. These include Breakaway, Pirates Penny/Stormy Petrel, and Daydreamer. Daydreamer has a nice excursion that hits a cay off St John and then goes to both Great Harbor (Foxy's) and White Bay (Soggy $ Bar). But they depart the East End at 8AM unless you can book them privately.

You can contact these operators to see if they can accommodate you (if you have enough ppl to pay the price). The problem is all of these except Daydreamer go to the Baths on Virgin Gorda and another snorkel stop before spending one hour on Josts. There is also the Dolphin shuttle just west of Red Hook but that is a pricey option. And of course there are several smaller boats that take you where you want but very pricey. Check the St Thomas link on vinow dot com for their names.

Good luck!
