dizzy1948 Posted February 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Another poster has prompted me to ask this question - can you take your $AU to the casino and get change for the machines - or do you have to use your Cabin Card? I don't mind paying for a little flutter - as the chances are slim of winning - but I don't want a % charge being taken on top of that - by Princess for the privilege of losing  Edited February 20, 2013 by dizzy1948

Rare MicCanberra Posted November 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2013 As mentioned it takes $AUD, if you have other cash ($USD) the cashier can change it or you can add an amount to your sea pass account.:D
dizzy1948 Posted November 6, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Wow, I'd forgotten I posted that - and thanks for the replies - and thanks fer10 for re booting the thread - now I know I can take real money (usually about $10.00 - last of the big spenders) ;) Edited November 6, 2013 by dizzy1948
windsor26 Posted November 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2013 This better use of the card for playing is useful if you have unused obc and you can now take it out through the card without paying the 3% they used to charge.:):)

windsor26 Posted November 7, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Yes, can be very handy to use up all the remaining OBC (will it ever happen for me ?).:D It is nice when it does with shareholder and FCC and TA sometimes it is more than we use as we do not drink a lot and do private tours mostly. We have prepaid some money so that we have plenty for the final account - so how does the OBC provided by the cruise line work?

Some are refundable and others are not. The ship is supposed to use the non-refundable OBC first (Usually OBC from the cruiseline offer as opposed to from the TA) but I ensure that it is all used one way or another.:D Edited November 7, 2013 by MicCanberra
windsor26 Posted November 8, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I have found they do not care which on board ccredit they use as the account it just shown as a credit and then debits each day. When Dawn and Sun were cash only ion the casino to take out the extra money they would charge you 3% but now you load it on your card and cash out the card and no charges are made. It may only be $3 in the $100 but it is my money and I object.
