Hi Colin

How did it compare to Mariner of the Seas?

Hi Linda,

Mariner is much more glitzy, a far more modern boat, our cabin on there was an inside, double bed, and clean and modern. Didn't have any issues with movement unlike on Spirit, but then again last August the Med was very smooth. Enjoyed Spirit as much, fellow cruisers much more friendly, just the Mariner was more 5 star in facilities, cruisers in general less friendly (lots of Italians!!).

Just how we felt about the Celebrity Eclipse last year - beautiful ship, but not the atmosphere of Thomson ships :)

Thanks Linda, and apologies for not updating this recently. With summer 2014 itineraries and also being rather busy the past couple of weeks I've not had time to do it, but will make sure that I do sometime this week. :)

Meanwhile, CC sticky please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Thomson Dream cabin for your collection & hopefully a link to some pics.... Keep up the good work.

Cabin Number: 6082 Outside Plus

Cruise Ship: Thomson Dream

Date of Cruise: 26th April 2013

Bed Formation: Double bed but could be converted into a twin.

Bath/Shower?: Bath with Shower above

Adjoining Cabin?: No

Balcony?: No

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Spacious cabin, good length with plenty of room around the sides of the bed.

Comment on any Noise Issues: Quiet.

Comment on Storage Space: Double door wardrobe, open half hanging rail, 3 large drawers, 3 smaller + 2 tiny bedside draws.

Comment on the Bathroom: Chipped sink, stained bath, but all serviceable & clean. Loo angled towards bath so no space for knees forcing a side-saddle approach. Shower controls tricky to master but temperature stable. Minor flooding from drain under sink.

Any Other Comments?: Air con broke down 3 times but repaired promptly each time…, Room safe temperamental as to locking / unlocking… Headboard light switches could operate with an incautious move of the pillow.

Would You Recommend this Cabin?: Yes

Cabin Number:7003

Cruise Ship: Dream

Date of Cruise:26 Apr 2013

Bed Formation: Double, but could convert to 2 singles

Bath/Shower?: Bath with shower over

Adjoining Cabin?: No

Balcony?: No

Comment on the Size of the Cabin:Very big. Bigger than the average standard cabin

Comment on any Noise Issues: Only noisy when the ship docked or left port. I think it was the bowthrusters. They are very noisy and start so suddenly they wake you up with a jolt.

Comment on Storage Space: Lots of storage. One double wardrobe with doors plus one open wardrobe. 6 drawers plus two in bedside cabinets.

Comment on the Bathroom:Pink bath! (chipped) Pink basin (chipped) Shower curtain that clings to you

Any Other Comments?: Being right at the front, a bit rocky in bad weather

Would You Recommend this Cabin?:Not sure! Very nice cabin, but the noise first thing in the morning is horrendous

Cabin Review Format

Cabin Number: 6024

Cruise Ship: Thomson Dream

Date of Cruise: 11/5/2013

Bed Formation: Double

Bath/Shower?: both, shower over bath

Adjoining Cabin?: No

Balcony?: No

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Biggest cabin we've had on any ship

Comment on any Noise Issues: Slight noise from bow thrusters when manouvering in port. But nothing much

Comment on Storage Space: Triple wardrobe, 2 bedside cabinets, three drawers in dressing table, and a tall shelf unit. Fr the ladies, there is a shelf about 8 inches above the bottom of the wardrobe which makes it impossible to hang long dresses straight down.

Comment on the Bathroom: plenty of room, but no shelf under sink for storage of wash items

Any Other Comments?: We have sailed in this cabin in 2010, before the so called "Platinum Upgrade" and it was identical last month apart from the Flat TV and kettle.

Would You Recommend this Cabin?: Yes
