Hyatt place Miami and taxi fare to port

we are at the Hyatt place right now. Full for cruise guests. :) the shuttle from here is $12 per person and leaves at 12:3.

 

I want to be at liberty earlier. Hotel says taxi will be $40 does that sound right? Would rather take 11 am taxi than 12:30 shuttle,. But would like to pay less if that's likely.

We paid around $13 plus tip from the downtown Intercontinental .. where is Hyatt Place?

Hyatt place iis at 3655 Nw 82nd. I hear its about 20 minutes from port nd was about that from airport
