Just some quick little notes I will write more when we return!

Room is beautiful, I am aft balcony spoiled rotten now.I waved and did a silly dance but dunno if it was in front of the cam or not. I was wearing a red tank top.

Muster was super quick.

Flowers in room are perfect and beautiful.

Just ordered room service and it was delish.

There is noticeable vibration here at the back, but it doesn't really bother us, it's actually kind of soothing but that's us :)

I havn't gone anywhere on the ship yet except to muster and our room lol, I am soooooo tired.

That's all for now :)

OH and something totally embarassing and hilarious happened at the terminal. I was waiting on husband to come back from parking the car and I couldn't drag all our luggage to a bench on my own so I just sat down on top of my garment bag.... in a dress. Bad idea, it totally fell out from under me and I busted my butt in front of everyone. All I could do was sit there and laugh :-D

OH the minute we got on the ship our rooms were ready and luggage there, but we were late (LATE has been the theme of this vacation so far lol long story) so that might have something to do with it.

Our Steward is amazing, his name is Yoga, but I keep accidentally tripping up and saying "Yoda" :o

After watching the sun set I finally ventured out of the stateroom. The last ship I was on was the Carnival Sensation (2007) and I CANNOT believe the difference! Everything is so elegant and it doesn't feel MASSIVE or crowded. There is a crew member around every corner asking if you need any help. Everyone smiling. I feel like I am on a ship and not in a casino.

All of the crew is incredibly kind, always smiling and saying hello in the hall ways. We have ordered a wine package, rum package, and room service and gotten follow-up calls to be sure that everything was perfect and they also know both of us by our names.

Went to do a little shopping before the stores closed, I love mermaids (I have a mermaid tattoo :) ) and my mother always brings me a mermaid Christmas ornament from her cruises, needless to say when I saw one I had to have it!

We got to see the Oasis and we were floored at how large it is, it is truly a sight to see  I think I saw the Independence of the Seas and a Princess Ship as well as one more ship which the cruiseline I am not familiar with (MSC? Something like that?)

I guess maybe? because we picked up speed? The vibration is MORE THAN NOTICEABLE. Still doesn't bother us, but I can now understand the threads about it... It's much less noticeable almost non-existant around the shopping area which I "think" (still learning) is mid-ship.

The only thing I am confused about is that I thought you could write things on to the breakfast card from the MDR but I called guest services and apparently you can't? It's no biggie, I rarely eat breakfast and the menu satisfies Husband.

People are incredibly easy to talk to, a great crowd here :) If the rest of the cruise is this enjoyable then I will definitely be addicted!! More tomorrow!

A few more quick notes! Talked hubby into letting me get more internet (hehehehe)

- First formal night was lovely, thought I would be overdressed but saw many in formal wear and evening gowns. I even saw

a little boy, about 8 years old, in a tux!!

- At the piano bar later that evening I was trying to sweet talk the piano player into playing me a song and then later

hear "ARE YOU VALLYD!?" YES! I met my other CC roll callers, they are hilarious and awesome! Funniest part was we were all

sitting basically right next to each other, cept for Queenie, lucky duck got a spot at the bar with her husband :P

- I seem to have a knack for slots, the first night my husband didn't believe me but now he freely hands over my card (yes

he took it that first night lmbo) and sends me on my way :P I met a lovely woman named Victoria who I consider my slot

buddy who is celebrating her 40th cruise, she is a hoot (and encouraged hubby to let me play more slots muwahhahaha -I had

never been in a Casino- )

- We are booking our future cruise with HAL on this cruise.

- Puerto Rico .... meh... maybe it's just because we (I) decided to indulge in wine packages rather than shore excursions

but all I did in Peurto Rico was go to the CVS. (oh another funny moment in a dress, I'll explain later)

- I am such an airhead sometimes, I didn't discover the buffet until today (sigh)

- I am sure I have gained 30 lbs, I have eaten a 2 AM cheeseburger everynight thus far.

- I had a slight "issue" with the food from room service one night... I gave a strong complaint to guest services. I'll

explain more later but the minute we walked into the main dining room and sat down the Beverage Manager (or whatever the

official term is) was immidiately there with a free bottle of wine, so no worries, I'm totally fine with THAT!

- I've gotten one towel animal so far :(

- Vladmir in the casino is incredible, I call him my casino friend.

- Pinnacle, amazing mushroom ravioli and I've had a LOT of it but I think... "think" as in I had quite a bit of wine

before I heard this, he laughed when I gushed about it and said "Aah it's the same thing as in the lido"... I will have to

verify this with my husband who was NOT on his 5th glass of wine before I say the servers name who otherwise was

incredibly awesome, that comment just struck me a little funny lol.

- I noticed our balcony plexiglass was a bit dirty from day 1, with a "mystery stain" which is what we are calling it....

uhm... yeah you will have to see the picture to understand. We sat next to the Allure in St. Thomas this morning and I

noticed them hosing down the glass and cleaning it, not sure why HAL doesn't do this?

- Fresh beautiful flowers with breakfast every morning.

- Wrote in Eggs Benedict for breakfast, got it and have had it almost every morning.

- As an outspoken social butterfly I found it incredibly odd that out of the young people in Northern Lights I ended up

dancing with an older man and woman instead of the 21 ish year olds (not many). I doubt I'll go back.

- Vladamir, my crewmember casino buddy and I met because I wanted to smoke but I "had to play" to smoke. After way too

much begging for a woman in a low cut evening gown he decided we would go "hide" and "explain to me" how to play slots

lmbo. I ended up asking him about his hours and days off, I'll relay that later as well.

- Celebrity Suiloette was in port with us in San Juan, the ship is very beautiful but.. SO LOUD. The music was driving me

nuts... it was louder than the Oasis or the Allure sail-away.

- Maybe it's just me, call me cheap, but the cost of photos is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! We have some incredible photos (what can

I say I am very photogenic ;) ) but I cannot justify buying them all.

- The ship really does close down around 1. Like... everything. Which is fine because otherwise I would embarass my

husband even more by dancing the charleston to rap music just to make him blush.

Apparently I get LAND SICK. I don't know if this is a real thing or what, but on port days... I am so sick to my stomach.

It's not noro, as far as I know the ship is clear, it's just a nagging tummy ache and slight nausea. (We of course missed

Grand Turk if I didn't mention that earlier). The minute we start moving I am just fine, is land sickness a thing?

More to come!

Oh PS- Piano bar Michael has been "losing his voice" so closing a tiny bit early... then night before last WAY EARLY (for me) I requested some ragtime ( The Entertainer, Hot Honey Rag, stuff I used to dance to that involves no singing) he was a bit reluctant  I guess he must feel really bad and I hope he gets better.

Some people call land sickness "dock rock."

Good to know I'm not just crazy lol. I can spend VERY little time off the ship in port. While we were consulting with the Future Cruise Guy (sorry ya'll I am so bad with the staff's official titles) husband made sure to point out that I get sick on land and when the sea is calm so we need as many sea days as possible.

The first cruise I ever went on it stormed almost the entire time, rockin and rollin so bad few people hardly made it to dinner the first few nights. Maybe that's why? I will have to learn about this "dock rock" :P.

Oh and husband does NOT get sea sick! So win-win, I want the cabin with the most motion from now on!

Then again, other people may call it a "hangover" after too much wine:D:confused:

BWAHAHAHA!!!

Okay you have a good point, and in San Juan I was pretty sure that was the case. However, last night I had nothing to drink because I was SO SICK there, today when we got off the ship I got sick all over again. Otherwise I would totally agree lol

Hey there! Great to hear from you! So...after that long "panic" thread you posted just before your cruise, with a list of all your worries.....how much was warranted? :)

Sounds like you are having a great time (not counting the land sickness)! Love the enthousiasm of your review.

ps: how many pair of shoes did you decide to bring? :D

One of the ladies who works in the shop where I get my haircuts says she was "nauseous and unsteady" for a month after a 7 day cruise she recently took. She never got sick on board and didn't take any meds for seasickness. I told her she had "dock rock" but it so unsettled her that she says she's done with cruising. Hope you don't suffer so badly..... :)

The ship has always sick people on board, that's why it's known as the big (code) red boat...

You obviously hate the Eurodam so why do you read - and respond to - all the Eurodam threads?

We did not have code red on our February cruise, so she doesn't always have sick people on board.

I guess all ships have somebody sick with something on them on any dayy..

We have no sickies on board :P I made it just fine to the piano bar and dinner and all else last night :)

Piano Guy Michael was feeling much better last night it seems, and he remembered from two nights before my request for The Entertainer and started playing it the second I walked in, love him!

Really enjoying your postings. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time except for the feeling ill on land portion (so sorry). Doesn't sound like mal de debarquement, so fingers crossed the feeling crummy on land was more of a one off thing and will go away.

How are you finding the aft vibrations, after some time living with them?

Finally home, so much crazy happened today after we got off the ship, 8 hour drive turned into 12 because of traffic and then of course bad things come in threes so I am going to pass out now after that third one lol. None involve HAL just travel issues. I will come back with pictures and more review!

Quickly: The vibration was obvious at first, then very obvious when we picked up speed, but I hardly noticed it from the first day on.

The only time it peeved me was when I tried to apply liquid eyeliner looking into those lighted mirrors that hang off from the wall, now that's a challenge lmbo

Land sickness is definitely a problem for me, I didn't even tender to Half Moon Cay
