joboplus3 Posted April 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2004 Whatever else you do in Cayman - do NOT miss the Stingray sandbar. It was an incredible experience, one of our favorites. We had kids ages 8, 10, and 14 with us, and they loved it! We booked the tour through http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/ rather than booking a Carnival tour, which was much more expensive. Also - our tour group was 15-20 people- I understand that the Carnival groups are much larger. The Captain (I think his name was Axton?) gave the kids lots of individual attention - it's clear he loves his work! Lee, the guide, was also absolutely great. Lee took a photo of the whole family holding a stingray, and unknown to us, Axton stood up behind us, holding another stingray so that you could see it's underside and mouth. Imagine my pleasant surprise when that photo came back! I have nothing but good things to say about this excursion! Happy sailing!
DonnaD Posted May 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2004 What ship were you on? We are on the Sensation, and like everyone else concerned about the time difference. We are doing the morning tour with Capt. Bryan - 9:30 a.m., but the ship leaves at 2 (which I gather could be 1 local time). Were there any problems getting back on ship, timewise?
