is there enough time to do stingrays and seven mile beach?

I will be in port from 8-5 and would like to do the stingrays, go to seven mile beach and also shop(just a little, even if it's right at the pier). Is there enought time to do all of this. I haven't decided if I'm going to go thru the cruise line or book Captain Marvin's yet, but either way I just wanted to try to figure out how much time i have. Thanks!

One time, we took the ship excursion and did the stingrays, hell, and the turtle farm and then went to 7-mile beach afterwards. Now, we were content just to sit along the beach and walk along it and we didn't probably have more than a couple of hours to do so.

 

So, I guess it depends on how much time you really want to devote to the beach and if you want to do the rays alone or with the island tour.

I was there 1 month ago. Our port time waws 7-3. We went on the 8:30 captain Marvins and they dropped us at 7 mile beach. (Anywhere we wanted.) We went to the Westin. We were at the beach for about 1 1/2 hrs. We went back and only had a little time for shopping but it was a great day. I would highly recommend Captain Marvins. Had a fabulous trip with them. Stay away from the cruise excursion. It looked like a cattle call from where we were.

Yes . . . you can do it all . . . but BEWARE of your timing. The Cayman port is an early departure & the one & only road back from 7 mile beach to catch the tenders becomes very BUSY!

We also did the stingray city excursion first thing in the morning 8:30. Once off that excursion we didn't board the bus back . . . we took our own walk out to the main street & down a ways to the Westin!

May I mention across from the Westin has great & inexpensive Pizza @ the "50's Diner", this is where we met up with the rest of our party that took different excursions.

Upon finishing lunch we went right through the Westin lobby to the most beautiful piece to beach on the 7 mile stretch.

Here you will find everything from rental equipment, loungers, bar & snack bar, great snorkeling in front of the "Governors Place" which is located due North from the Westin.

Take the early stingray tour with Nativeway watersports then have them drop you off at 7 mile beach. Then you can get a cab back to port when you are ready. We aren't morning people so we took later tour and didn't have time for 7 mile too.

When we were done at 7 Mile Beach we walked to the main street and a city bus/van stopped and picked us up. They drive by all the time.
