Family of 6 - 2 children,2 grandp,M&F - what would you recommend in GC?

I am coming in on the Rhapsody in two weeks. What would you recommend for a family of 6. It includes 2 children (6 & 10) and possibly grandparents. That depends if they get off the ship. We won't have much money so we are looking for things to do. Any ideas? Please help.

We have sorta the same family group. I am thinking of taking a taxi to the westin hotel and go on the beach there. We will bring our towels to sit on, stay there for awhile and then head back to the boat. I want my children to see the beach.

Hi Kapcruiser,

I know we have spoken before about the westin . . . I think you will enjoy the beach alot & bring some beach toys w/ you from home (bucket, shovel etc.) My 6 year used them while at the westin. I also rented for the time were on the beach a blow up raft from the rental hut, (like 5-$10) both Gandparents & kids enjoyed using it. We also brought a rim only ferezbie that my 12 year & his Uncle played catch with in the ocean . . .

"Eats" across the street is rather reasonable to eat at (at least for the Caymans) OUr group mostly had the pizza, I think one had soup & than a sandwich or 2 & the bill was around $40.

The best thing about "Eats" is it is right across the street from the Westin. Don't forget when catching your taxi back negoate before you get in . . . I seem to remember if you go across the street (public pickup) prices were a little less.

Lastly, I would still try for those loungers!!! Will be surprised if you have trouble using them.
